Blue lagoon has 3 ponds, divided into Blue lagoon 1, 2 and 3, arranged according to the distance from Vang Vieng city. Highlights Blue lagoon 1 is close, there are many people, there are many activities. Blue lagoon 2 is in the middle, you will pass the red bridge that is a curtain of beautiful rocky mountains, but the way to go may be a bit tough. If you are an adventurer, I assure you that it is very fun. You will also pass the balloon release point. The view of taking pictures with the balloon is very beautiful. A nice plan in Vang Vieng is to visit one of the blue lagoons. Since I prefer places that aren’t crowded, I chose to go to Blue Lagoon 3. I had a peaceful and relaxing experience there. The area is stunning, surrounded by nature, and is the perfect spot for swimming and having fun. There’s also a small restaurant where you can enjoy lunch or snacks, making it easy to spend the day without needing to leave. If you’re visiting Vang Vieng, I highly recommend Blue Lagoon 3. I bought a ticket at Vientiane train station, but there were no seats on the high-speed train, so I took the regular train! They say that all the Laos trains are funded by Chinese capital~ Somehow the architecture felt Chineseㅎ There is also a coffee shop inside the train station, so you can buy coffee~ The train from Vientiane to Luang Prabang was not a high-speed train, but a regular train! Later, when I went from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng I took the high-speed train, but there was a difference between the regular and high-speed trains. To be honest, the seats and environment of the regular train were not as good as the high-speed train! The breakfast and view were good, but the hotel hygiene wasn't that great.. Since we were going to 3 cities in total, we stayed at a different hotel every day! I'm so glad I didn't have to stay here all the time🤣 📍Patusai Square and Laos National Assembly Building Patusai is the Independence Gate built to commemorate the Laotians who died in World War II and the War of Independence! It's a building modeled after the Arc de Triomphe in France, so it's a bit similar :) The Laos National Assembly Building is right next to it. There are also fountains and music! 📍Golden Temple That Luang and Reclining Buddha The Golden Temple That Luang is a sacred tower in Laos that is used on Laos banknotes. In fact, not all of it is made of gold now, and only the very top tower is made of real gold! Brief History Buddha Park is a sculpture park located just 25 kilometers southeast of Vientiane. It has many names such as Wat Xieng Khuan (Chiang Khuan means the city of the soul), Chiang Khuan Cultural Park or Buddha Park. This place was built in 1958 by Pu Boonluea Sureerat or Pu Luea, who was a Vipassana meditator and researcher of Buddhism and Hinduism. He and his disciples built this place together while he was in Laos. After that, he came to Thailand to build Sala Kaew Ku in Nakhon Phanom Province. The buildings, including each Buddha image, contain mystical riddles. The viewer must consider it to understand. It is not a place to come and see just for its beauty. But it is also a teaching of the principles of Dharma. Inside the park, there are many statues, including Buddha statues, statues of Hindu gods such as Vishnu, Shiva, Indra on Erawan, and many other statues, totaling more than 200 statues.
