We stayed in Yha windermere hostel and it was worth it, Tip1. Buses comes after 1-2 hour, plan it before head and few days doesnt run as well. Tip2. Around 5 most places are closed, start early Tip3. If you are with elders or kids and doesnt have car than opt for lakeside taxis app and it was convenient or if alone you can get cycle from the station and keep your luggage around the area Tip4. Dont forget to visit gingermere for ginger bread, only they make it. Tip5. Must try sticky toffee pudding, we did at amberside. Tip6. You should try elderflower sparkling water, i personally liked it.

We went to Rydal Cave recently after seeing beautiful pictures on the internet, and it was a nice walk from parking. Best make sure to wear the right clothes especially shoes as your feet are likely to get wet, even if it doesn’t rain! Be careful of mountain bikes though. There are some hills and there can be bikes coming down - We had a few near-death experiences in this one trip! Followed the meandering course of the River Rothay as it wove a liquid sonata through the heart of Grasmere. "Waterside Whispers" unfolded along its banks, where ancient stones cradled the flow and lush greenery embraced the melody. The charming stone bridges, like arched notes, spanned the river's gentle currents. Ducks played in the shallows, adding playful notes to the natural symphony. Rydal Cave is near the town of Grasmere. I highly recommend a visit. Today's weather is pretty good. It's very quick to walk from the parking lot to the lake, less than 15 minutes. I saw some people swimming today, and there were also people having a picnic nearby. If you walk further up, you will see the Rydal Cave, which is very easy to walk up. Rydal Cave is a cave that is surrounded by trees and rocks. The cave itself is a unique rock formation with large caverns and arched entrances. When you enter the cave, there is a sense of adventure and exploration. The interior of the cave is damp and the walls are covered with moss and ferns. It is said to have been the inspiration for the famous poet William Wordsworth. For he lived in nearby Grasmere, and visited the cave often, and mentioned it in his writings, immortalizing its beauty in poetry. We hiked from the Cathedral to Salter’s Bridge, which is a very old and historically valuable stone arch bridge in the UK. It is made of stone and has experienced hundreds of years of erosion. It is very historical. There are easy hiking trails nearby. It is very suitable for hiking here and is suitable for people of all ages. Our group of four people including a puppy stayed at Castle guards farm resort during our three-day and two-night trip to Lake District. The interior decoration is very beautiful and unique, with a great feel. It has all the basic facilities, including a kitchen with kitchenware and a dishwasher, and a barbecue grill and Hot Pod outside. If you make an appointment with the host in advance, they will prepare firewood for the barbecue and Hot Pod. You only need to add 20 pounds (barbecue grill) or 50 pounds (Hot Pod). If the weather is good, it will be a great feel. Grilling with wood will create a bigger fire, start more easily and burn longer than grilling with charcoal. p.s. The Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway starts at Lakeside, the southernmost tip of Lake Windermere, and then heads southwest to Haverthwaite. It is only 3.5 miles long and is a very popular attraction in the Lake District. The train travels through the tranquil countryside of the Lake District💯📸. amazing walk "pub circular" on the edges of the lake district. the station Inn has plenty of parking and has cheap local beers to start to walk. loop takes approx 1 hour and you get immediate views of Kendal and the countryside. Last 10 minutes are tough but there is warm food at the end! Remember walking shoes as very muddy. 9/10 would do again #freehotelstay #lakedistrict

Night walk along the west coast of the Lake District was something else. The place is truly beautiful and I had the pleasure of sharing all of this with my girlfriend as we celebrated 1 year together, not even the weather could dampen our spirits as we took a walk after a meal out. We stumbled across a stunningly lit harbour that also boasted a pretty cool lighthouse.

#BritishHotels This hotel is located on the hillside on the east bank of Lake Windermere. When I booked it, I expected to see the lake, but I couldn't. When we were about to arrive at the hotel, I was in a very happy mood, so I stopped in the hotel parking lot. After parking in the parking lot, I saw that the surrounding environment was great. The room and public area are not large, but the British-style design and furniture arrangement are compact but reasonable, and it feels so good that after entering the room, I immediately put down my luggage and took pictures. It’s a pity that the mobile hard disk where the photos were stored broke down, leaving only three room pictures on the network disk. If you like Western food, you can eat directly in the hotel. There are also Chinese restaurants opened by Hong Kong people in the nearby town, as well as the former residence of the author of "Peter Rabbit", which has now been converted into a restaurant. The space outside the protection area is relatively large, and the designed and constructed waterscape and planted flowers complement each other.
