The bottom of the lake

Both the northern and eastern side of England’s largest lake, Windermere attract a large number of visitors throughout the year. Slightly less accessible are its southern and Western reaches but that doesn’t mean that you should miss out on them during your next trip to the Lake District. The village of Lakeside has a number of attractions to make a visit worthwhile from the Lakes Aquarium to the steam powered heritage railway and the chance to take a steamer across the lake. #lake #lakedistrict
