A healing village in Seongju🇰🇷
In the past, there was a large stream or ferry, so it was named 'Hangae'
⠀
A filming location for a drama
And a place you can't miss on your trip to Seongju✔️

I visited various regions last year as a Gyeongsangbuk-do supporter, and this is one of them☝🏻

The sky was refreshing
But it was so hot that it was hard🥲
⠀
But if the pictures come out pretty, then you can do it,,
⠀
You can also experience Hanbok and traditional houses!!
I wore my Hanbok and didn't do it separately,
But they say it's relatively cheap at 5,000~10,000 won👍🏻

Introducing Gayasan National Park.
It is located in Seongju, Gyeongbuk.
It is less than an hour from Daegu.
Because it is a national park, you can feel that it is very well managed.
There is a large free parking lot below the park.
There are set times for hiking, so it is good because there are not many people.
There are many programs that require reservations in advance,
and there is also a campsite, which was good.
There are also many things to see, such as wildflower botanical gardens and exhibition halls.
I recommend it for hiking or picnics.

📍Seongju, Libebol Cafe
This is Libebol, a Disney-style cafe that is an hour's drive from Daegu ✨
In October, it's an exotic cafe with Halloween-themed decorations!
When I opened it, there were no people, so it was quiet and nice!
Above all, Disney songs are playing in the cafe,
and I can totally tell it's Disney material 😭
When I went up the stairs of the cabin,
there were cute props that looked like they came out of Beauty and the Beast 🕰☕️
I have to go this year too 🥹

The interior is really different in each space,
so I recommend you to definitely look around from the garden to the main cafe space, rooms, and outdoor terrace. ⠀

Drama Love Filming Location, Seongju Hangae Village
I went to Seongju River Ball on the weekend, but I felt bad about just going back, so I visited Seongju Tourist Attraction Hangae Village.
Seongju Hangae Village is also famous as a filming location for the recently aired drama Yeonmo.
It was a shame that I couldn't see the flowers because it was winter, but it was so nice to walk along the quiet and secluded country road.
Hangae Village doesn't have a large parking lot, so I had a hard time parking, but if you go to the right when you enter the entrance, you can park at the tourist information center.
Then, if you go all the way up the road in front of the tourist information center, there is a hanbok rental shop. You can rent a hanbok for 8,000 won per hour. They rent a jeogori skirt, petticoat, shoes, and various accessories. It was a new and healing time to walk around the old village wearing a hanbok. I recommend trying out the hanbok experience because you can get some great photos. It's quiet even on the weekend, so it's the perfect untact travel destination!

Seongju River Bowl is even more beautiful in winter
I heard there was a cafe in Seongju decorated with a Christmas atmosphere, so I went there. It was called Seongju Rebevol. I found out that it was a place I had seen on the owner's YouTube channel before.
It is located right next to Seongju Deohyang Pension, and the road leading there is a metasequoia road, so it is really pretty.
The yard and interior of the yellow clay house were decorated with a Berlin Christmas atmosphere, and there were walking paths and many photo zones, so it would be great to bring your dog.
If you want to feel the winter atmosphere in Gyeongbuk near Daegu, I recommend going there.

Atrium Mori, a space where art and nature coexist
#DomesticTravel
"A place to visit when you need quiet solace after a hectic day."
Atrium Mori is quietly nestled in the natural beauty of Seongju.
From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of comfort, as if time was flowing slowly :)
The building itself is a beautiful work of art, and the space, seemingly embracing the forest, was truly impressive.
It was a place where you didn't have to speak loudly,
and even the moment you paused and gazed at the artwork was a moment of respite.
The seemingly casually placed sculptures, and the lush greenery visible through the large windows, felt like a moment of respite, a wonderful feeling of being immersed in it all.
After the tour, I'll definitely remember taking a walk around the building, quietly listening to the wind and the trees.🍂
While passing through Seongju, I recommend stopping for a moment and taking a moment to reflect in this tranquil space where art and nature coexist.🌿

"A special space in Seongju where nature and art coexist"
I visited Atrium Mori, a must-visit healing spot during your trip to Seongju.
A short walk along the lush mountainside,
a quiet and beautiful space unfolds, like an art gallery hidden in the forest.
The building's exterior features a unique curved design,
and I was amazed by the architectural beauty that seamlessly blends into the natural surroundings.
The pink bear sculpture "MORI" at the entrance
is a photo opportunity in itself! Its cute yet strangely majestic atmosphere
makes it a popular photo spot for everyone, young and old. 🐻📸
The indoor exhibition hall features seasonal special exhibitions,
allowing you to experience new art each time you visit.
The exhibition space, bathed in natural light, brings the artworks to life,
making it a perfect place to pause and appreciate the artwork.
After viewing the exhibition, I recommend taking a leisurely stroll around the building! The sound of the wind, the chirping of birds, and even the distant mountain scenery will make you feel your body and mind calming down.🍃

Upon arrival, the building's graceful curves immediately caught my eye.

Today's pick:

The tteokbokki combines chewy rice cakes with sweet corn for a unique flavor!
All the drinks are also made with care! The latte, in particular, was rich and savory.
📸 There are plenty of photo zones inside, so we spent a lot of time taking pictures and enjoying ourselves.
The perfect stop on a Seongju outing.
It was a day that satisfied my eyes, mouth, and soul. 🧡

A Hanok Village Where Time Stands Still: Seongju Hangae Village
📍 Seongju Hangae Village
"A Hanok village where time seems to have stopped,
a place where the serene breath of tradition flows 🌿🏡"
I visited Seongju Hangae Village, a hidden gem of Seongju✨. The village, with its 600-year history, is filled with tranquil Hanok houses that bring a sense of peace as you stroll through🕊️.
Walking along the yellow stone walls, you’ll feel as if you’re traveling back in time, with traditional houses that carry the spirit of Yi Woo from the Joseon Dynasty🕰️🚶♀️.
This warm and welcoming village, home to the Seongsan Yi clan and blessed with feng shui energy, is the perfect place to quietly walk and appreciate the beauty of Korean tradition💛.

Seongju Hangae Village, a quiet hanok village where history lives and breathes

“A quiet hanok village where history lives and breathes,
A leisurely day in Seongju Hangae Village 🌿🏡”
Seongju Hangae Village is a place where traditional hanoks, built over 600 years ago, are beautifully preserved. The entire village is a tranquil and peaceful space, as if you've traveled back in time. 🕰️🕊️
The scenery of yellow stone walls and tiled roofs
creates a scene from the Joseon Dynasty. 🏯🍂
As you leisurely stroll through the village, you'll encounter traditional houses that retain the essence of Korean hanok, with their daecheongmaru (wooden floors), toenmaru (wooden verandas), and neat tiled roofs. You'll be amazed by the beauty and intricacy of their architecture.👏✨
In particular, the combination of Yeongchusan Mountain to the north of the village and the clear Baekcheon Stream flowing west makes it a truly auspicious location in terms of feng shui. ⛰️💧
This has long been a clan village of the Seongsan Lee clan. This is a place where families and neighbors have lived together, and the village exudes a warm and cozy atmosphere.💛🏘️
It's the perfect place to take a quiet stroll and enjoy the harmony between traditional houses and nature.
I was able to experience the depth of Korean traditional culture while enjoying a moment of healing.🌳😊
If you're looking to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and embark on a historical journey amidst tranquil nature,
I highly recommend Seongju Hangae Village🙏🌿
It's a special place I'll want to return to again and again, with a relaxed mind.💫

A Melon-Themed Park Full of Fragrance, Perfect for a Family Outing
If you're visiting Seongju, you must stop by the melon-themed experiential park 🍈. Just the name itself evokes a landscape filled with the sweet scent of melons, but the actual space is even more generous and heartwarming.
At the 'Melons and Kids' exhibition hall, you can learn about how melons grow and the different varieties available, all presented in a fun and engaging way tailored to children. There's even a touchscreen game that kept the kids entertained for quite a while.
Moving on, there's the Horticultural Healing Hall 🌳. This indoor garden, complete with lush greenery and an artificial waterfall, offers a perfect spot to sit down and relax for a moment. It seems like an ideal place to visit even on a rainy day.
If you're wondering where to go this weekend, I highly recommend the melon-themed experiential park!

Seongju The Yellow, where melons become desserts and yellow moments linger
#EmotionalCafe
On a sunny afternoon while traveling in Seongju,
I came across a small cafe with a dazzling yellow sign.
The name was adorable, The Yellow👍
This space, themed around Seongju's specialty, melons,
felt like a small brand in itself.
The melon character "Chambyeol-i" greeted me as soon as I entered,
and melon jam, melon syrup, and melon bread lined every shelf.
No matter when I return to Seongju,
I'll definitely stop by this place.

A Café Bathed in Yellow Charm, Seongju The Yellow
A sweet retreat in a yellow space filled with the scent of chamoe
While traveling in Seongju, I stumbled upon a café called The Yellow. True to its name, the café is adorned with yellow accents both inside and out. This café, themed around Seongju's specialty, chamoe (Korean melon), is not just an ordinary café but a multi-cultural space run by local residents.
From the entrance, a large chamoe sculpture greets you, and as you step inside, you’re welcomed by an array of chamoe-themed treats and souvenirs, such as chamoe syrup, chamoe jam, and chamoe bread. The adorable and meticulously crafted packaging was a feast for the eyes 👀💛.
Through the windows, you can take in the vast Seongju fields, and with soft music playing in the background, the atmosphere felt incredibly calming. It had the charm of a quiet village rather than a bustling tourist spot, which made it even more appealing. Even on a weekend, it wasn’t crowded, allowing for a leisurely and relaxing time.

Seongju Atrium Mori, a forest art museum where bears welcome you
#IndoorDate
As you walk along the quiet hillsides of Seongju, you'll come across a special space nestled quietly amidst the lush greenery. This is Atrium Mori.
The building consists of two oval exhibition halls, each with a graceful and gentle feel, reminiscent of natural curves.
As soon as you enter, you're greeted by the adorable pink bear "MORI"! It's so adorable, it's a perfect photo opportunity. 😊 I think kids would love it, too.
The interior, with its calming concrete tones and natural light, creates a quiet space where you can focus on the artwork. This exhibition was Hojeong's "Day, and Day," and the wind-themed textile works were truly impressive. As I slowly walked through the installations, which seemed to float in the air, I felt as if I was moving with the wind.
And the view from the second-floor windows was truly healing. Just looking at it calmed my mind.
After viewing the exhibition, I took a break at the cafe on the first floor. The interior was clean and the coffee was delicious. It's the perfect space to enjoy some lingering memories while listening to soothing music!

"Encounter Art in the Mountains, Seongju Atrium Mori"
#IndoorDate
I visited **Artrium MORI** in Seongju.
It was a truly special space, allowing me to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and fully experience art in nature.
The building's exterior is striking. The graceful curves, resembling water droplets, and the pink bear sculpture "MORI" welcoming me at the entrance made me want to take a photo. The overall harmony of architecture and nature made the space feel like a work of art in itself.
The exhibition I saw this time was **Hojeong's "Day, and Day"**.
The space was filled with works made of hanji (Korean paper) and fabric. The pieces swayed slightly in the breeze, almost as if they were breathing, and the experience was both calming and invigorating.
The indoor exhibition had a different atmosphere on each floor.
The first floor had a calming gray tone, while the second floor had a minimalist yet artistically charged atmosphere, creating a space where visitors could fully focus on appreciating the artwork.
However, due to operational issues, the exhibition and cafe are currently temporarily closed. Luckily, I was able to visit on the day I visited. I highly recommend calling in advance to confirm.
This is a place where art, nature, and architecture come together,
and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a short break.
I'd love to visit again once operations return to normal.

A cozy Hanok cafe transformed into a cultural heritage site🧡

If you are planning a trip to Seongju, Gyeongbuk, be sure to stop by here.
This is a place where a former Seowon was reborn as a Hanok cafe.
It is a place that has restored the appearance of a Seowon, so it is large in scale and has the best atmosphere.
I've been to many Hanok cafes, but this size is rare, and it is a place where a real Seowon has been transformed into a cafe, so it has a quiet and healing atmosphere.

[🇰🇷Seonju] House Soso | A relaxing time at a spacious bakery cafe near Daegu
Located in Seongju, about 40 minutes by car from Daegu, House Soso is a large-scale bakery cafe located on a spacious site. Its natural location and freshly baked breads have recently made it a hot topic as a suburban cafe worth visiting.
Stepping inside, you will be greeted by an open glass building and tastefully arranged garden furniture. The interior of the store has a high ceiling and a calm atmosphere with a white and wood-grain interior. Light pours in through the large windows, making you feel relaxed no matter where you sit.
In the bakery corner, authentic breads such as croissants, campagne, and focaccia are lined up, and just looking at them makes you feel happy. Particularly popular are the chewy pretzel bread stuffed with plenty of cream cheese and the Danish pastry made with seasonal fruits of the day.
The cafe menu is also extensive, with everything from espresso-based drinks to fruitades. The recommended dish is the Soso Latte. The gentle sweetness of the homemade syrup and the richness of the milk are exquisite, and they go perfectly with the bread.
On weekends, it gets crowded with local families and couples, so if you want to enjoy a quiet time, we recommend visiting on a weekday morning. It's the perfect place to relax surrounded by the aroma of nature and bread.

[🇰🇷Daegu] Liberball – Have a fantastic time at the Christmas Cafe in Senju
Located in Suryeon-myeon, Saeju-gun, about an hour's drive from Daegu, Libeball is a cafe that is especially recommended during the Christmas season. With beautiful illuminations and a fantastic atmosphere, this cafe offers an experience that makes you feel as if you have wandered into the world of a picture book.
Entry method and price
Libeball is a reservation-only cafe, and tickets must be purchased in advance. The ticket includes a basic drink and a secret gift, and premium tickets offer special desserts and gifts. If you visit during the Christmas season, you can experience a special feeling that is a little different from regular cafes.
Atmosphere and photo spots inside the store
The store is divided into the first and second floors, and you can enjoy different atmospheres on each floor. A large Christmas tree is decorated on the first floor, and warm lighting creates a comfortable space. The second floor has an atmosphere like a dance room, and the interior features a warm wooden feel. There are many photogenic spots on both floors, and visitors enjoy taking photos.
Menu and Experience
Libeball does not offer many types of drinks and desserts, but it does offer seasonal Christmas sweets and drinks, which give it a special feeling. In addition, the store has picture books for coloring, so visitors can enjoy them while relaxing.
Access and Notes
Libeball requires a car from Daegu, and it is difficult to access by public transportation, so we recommend visiting by car. Also, it is a fully reserved restaurant, so be sure to make a reservation before visiting.
If you want to spend a special time during the Christmas season, Lieball is the perfect place. Enjoy a heartwarming time surrounded by beautiful illuminations and a fantastic atmosphere.
