It was the first stop of my first Europe-Balkans trip. Although it was my first experience, I left very nice and happy. We were staying in the center and it was very close to everywhere.

Coming to Sarajevo is like stepping into a history book - the old town of Baščaršija (pronounced Bashčarhija!) is full of Ottoman-style coppersmith shops and the aroma of barbecue, and turning a corner you'll come across European-style buildings from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, a true "magical collision of East and West". Must-see: 1️⃣ Latin Bridge - Stand and take a photo, the fuse that ignited World War I is right under your feet! 2️⃣ Sunset at Huangbao - The red-roofed church and the minaret of the mosque can be seen in the same frame from the top of the mountain, so beautiful that it is speechless. 3️⃣ Eat a lot of ćevapi (grilled meat wraps) + a cup of Bosnian coffee (remember to lick the sugar cube first!) Go skiing in the nearby snow-capped mountains in winter ⛷️, and play in the water at the suburban waterfalls in summer.
