🚗Transportation: It's closer to take a taxi from Kunming Railway Station. It takes about 1 hour to take a taxi from the airport or Kunming South Railway Station. During the seagull season, it is recommended to avoid the road closure time from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm.
🕙Opening hours: All day. There are more seagulls in the morning, fewer at noon, and more before 5:00 pm.
💰Ticket price: Free. The nearby Haihong Wetland and Haigeng Park are also free, so you can visit them together.

Dian Lake
Dian Lake, also known as Kunming Lake, Kunming Pond, Dian South Marsh, and Dian Sea, is located to the southwest of Kunming City in Yunnan Province. It is fed by rivers such as the Panlong River, with a surface elevation of 1886 meters and an area of 330 square kilometers. It is the largest freshwater lake in Yunnan Province, known as the 'Pearl of the Plateau'. The average depth is 5 meters, with the deepest point reaching 11 meters. The lake water flows out from the southwest mouth, known as the Mantis River, which is the upper source of the Pudu River, a tributary of the Jinsha River, the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
Dian Lake is scenic and is a national-level tourist resort area in China. Surrounding it are attractions such as the Yunnan Nationalities Village, Yunnan Nationalities Museum, West Mountain Huating Temple, Taihua Temple, Sanqing Pavilion, Dragon Gate, Qiongzhu Temple, Daguan Pavilion, as well as Jinning Panlong Temple, Zheng He Park, and other scenic areas. The resort area covers 18 square kilometers.
