Make a wish a Jindian Scenic Park
Jindian Scenic Park is a massive open space area that you can go to relax, have a picnic and hike up to. There is a little lake and Chinese architectural structures at the main spot.
* Getting There - We took a DiDi to our destination and back again. There are also metered cabs and busses available. When you enter, take the stairs up till you reach a plateau with a “sled”. You can take this sled to the top of the mountain and also use it to get back down again. If you do not walk up the stairs, the hiking trail may take between 1 – 2 hours to get to the same location as you will walk around and up the mountain. I only advise this route if you want to go on a hike.
* Attractions - There are many attractions at this park. Namely a lake, a park where people hang hammocks amongst the trees and set up tents and a hiking trail. You can choose which path you want to follow and there are directional signs along the way that indicate the different spots. The main attraction is the temple where you can make a wish and take photos in traditional Chinese outfits.
* Food & Restaurants - There’s food stalls at the entrance of the temple.

Touching the history of Kunming—Parrot Spring Deep, Jindian Park
Jindian Park in the eastern suburbs of Kunming, also known as Mingfeng Mountain, because the shape of the mountain is like the wings of a phoenix with its head up and crowing.
The Golden Temple in the park was originally built in imitation of the Taihe Palace of Wudang Mountain. During the Chongzhen years of the Ming Dynasty, the Yunnan governor moved the Golden Temple to Jizu Mountain. Later, Wu Sangui, as the king of Pingxi, rebuilt the Golden Temple.
The Golden Temple is just a description. The god statues, curtains, and couplets in the temple are all made of copper, using more than 250 tons of copper. It is better preserved than the Golden Temple of Wanshou Mountain in the Summer Palace in Beijing, and larger than the Golden Temple of Wudang Mountain in Hubei. It is the largest copper temple in the country.
❤Recommended reason: The beautiful natural scenery and exquisite garden architecture are still simple, and the effect of taking pictures in Hanfu is surprisingly good.
✅Must experience:
"Golden Temple Morning Glow":
Climbing up the steps, passing through three heavenly gates, each of which reflects the superb construction skills and painting techniques of the craftsmen at that time.
Entering the Taihe Palace, passing through the Lingxing Gate, and behind the Kui Xing Tower is the towering copper temple. Does the appearance of the Emperor Zhenwu resemble Wu Sangui? In any case, every detail is worth savoring, and the surrounding city wall is also called the Forbidden City.
"Mingfeng Morning Bell":
The Yongle Big Bell hanging in the bell tower was built in the 21st year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1423). The big copper bell is 3.5 meters high and weighs 14 tons. It is the largest ancient bell in Yunnan and the third largest bell in the country.
Jindian Museum:
The story of Wu Sangui and Chen Yuanyuan is talked about by the world, and the seven-star treasure sword and wooden handle big knife left behind, whether true or false, are always a symbol of history.
Jindian Expo Park:
The ancient copper buildings of Wudang Mountain, Wutai Mountain, and Taishan are displayed in a reduced scale, combined with garden rockeries. Every spring, the camellias are in full bloom, which is even more beautiful.
Golden Temple Camellia: There are thousands of pots of camellias in the park. Camellia, also known as mountain tea, is one of the eight famous flowers in Yunnan, and its cultivation history has been more than 500 years.
Crape myrtle, ancient camellia tree: After more than 400 years, it is still tall and straight, and the flowers are not defeated.
