Visiting the Northern Theater in Zerada, Romania, was an exciting cultural experience. When I arrived at the theater, I was amazed by the splendor of ancient Roman architecture and its rich history. The tour guided us through the massive structure and detailed the various roles of the theater and how it was used in ancient times. The carved wall decorations and monumental columns were the embodiment of classical Roman architecture. I enjoyed viewing the theater from the upper balcony and imagined how it was used in the past for cultural and entertainment performances. The visit was both fun and educational because it left me with a sense of history of the Roman civilization and admiration for the wonderful architecture I had witnessed.

During my visit to Jerash, I couldn't help but be awestruck by the Roman Theatre—one of the most impressive sights I've encountered. 🎭 While I've mentioned the city itself before, this time, I want to focus specifically on the theatre. Interestingly, Jerash has two theatres, but the Roman Theatre is by far the most remarkable. 🎉 Its preservation is incredible; it almost feels as though time hasn’t touched it. The engineering behind it is simply mind-blowing—especially when you consider the acoustics. The Romans were masters at this! When you stand in the centre of the theatre, you can hear a whisper from the stage, making it clear why this was such a marvel of its time. 🎶 The way sound travels in this space is a testament to the ingenuity of ancient Roman engineering. I’m not sure if they still hold performances today, but honestly, it would be incredible to witness a show here. 🌟 The theatre’s excellent condition makes it a must-see, and it’s a living piece of history that lets you step back in time. Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities outside of Italy, is an absolute must-see during your trip to Jordan! 🏛️ Stepping into the ruins feels like walking back in time – the grandeur of the ancient colonnaded streets, temples, and amphitheaters is simply awe-inspiring. 😲 The highlight of Jerash is the stunning Oval Plaza, surrounded by 56 columns, where you can imagine the bustling life of this Roman city. 📸 Don’t miss the famous Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Artemis, and the incredible South Theater where you can even catch a performance! 🎭 I also visited Jerash during my summer trip to Jordan, and it was definitely one of the highlights of my journey. 🌞 The site is huge, so take your time to explore and appreciate the scale and beauty of these ancient ruins. Jerash is home to three ancient theatres, each with its own unique history and architecture. The South Theatre is the largest and oldest of the theatres of ancient Gerasa. It was built around 90 AD. The theatre was constructed right next to the Sanctuary of Zeus on the west side of the same hill and may have also served cultic purposes. The South Theatre has excellent acoustics and from the upper rows of seats, there is a great view over the archaeological site. It can seat more than three thousand people. The North Theatre is the second-largest theatre in Jerash. It was built in the 2nd century AD and was used for performances of tragedies and comedies. The third theatre is located in Birketein, about 1.7 km north of the archaeological site. It is the smallest of the three theatres and was built in the 3rd century AD. #dreamvoyage
