SeMa - hidden place near Junggu
Among many museums in Seoul, as an art lovers, i choose Seoul museum of art to visit.
According to the name, i thought it would much tell about the history of art development in Seoul or academic information, but the place was surprisingly full of art exhibition from all concepts, tradition to contemporary, paintings to installation.
Getting there is very easy, since it is near bus station and BTS.

Seoul is not only for shopping, but also for getting close to the forefront of contemporary art in Korea
Seoul | Media City Biennale
Seoul is a city full of artistic atmosphere💝
Today, I walked into the Seoul Municipal Art Museum to feel the unique charm of the 'City of Design'
The museum is currently holding the 'Seoul Media City Biennale', which focuses on the contemporaneity and experimental nature of art marked by media over the past 25 years, and constantly integrates various thoughts and activities representing the era
Time: September 21-November 19
Location: Seoul Municipal Art Museum
Ticket price: Free (no reservation required)
The theme of this biennale is 'THIS TOO, IS A MAP', which imagines the global aesthetics of non-territoriality, pays attention to alternative mediation and relationship concepts outside the border, focuses on the necessity of abstract, secret and deliberately obscure language, refers to global relations occurring in the industrial environment around Seoul, and the position of voluntary and forced displaced persons
The theme of the exhibition is indeed a bit cutting-edge, and the understanding of the meaning expressed by the works is a bit vague, but the application of various new materials in art really refreshes people, and the master's works can always let people see the future of contemporary art

The Seoul Museum of Craft Art's
Located next to Gyeongbokgung Palace in Jongno-gu's Anguk-dong, stands Korea's first-ever public craft art museum
The Seoul Museum of Craft Art's location had originally been a venue used as a royal family villa during the Joseon Dynasty, indicating its meaningful and historical significance.
Possessing over 20,000 artifacts from traditional and modern craft works and craft materials of various generations and fields, a selection of diverse special exhibitions have been said to currently be underway!
The Seoul Museum of Craft Art has connected both tradition and modernity, along with art and living, to enable the sharing and experiencing of the diverse values held within the realm of art & crafts.
In 2024, I wish to visit this place again.
