Hiking and tubing along Nam Song river
Tubing along the beautiful Nam Song River is one of Vang Vieng's most popular activities (besides climbing). Once you get at the riverbank, you may rent a rubber tube for a modest charge and float down the river, which is lined with cafes and places to stop along the route.
You may even tube in front of a number of restaurants, avoiding the need to travel far and allowing you to spend the entire day floating around and taking in the spectacular yet quiet surroundings.

Laos Free & Easy | Triple City Tour, 9 Days 8 Nights Itinerary~
| Triple City Tour, 9 Days 8 Nights Itinerary~.
I've finally arrived at the other side of the Anywhere Door - Laos!
🔶🔶🔶Laos seems to be the country with the least presence, known to me as one of the poorest countries in the world. However, I believe that every city has its unique scenery and cultural charm, worthy of exploration.
👣👣👣Itinerary:
D1: Kunming--Mohan
D2: Mohan--Boten--Vientiane
D3: Vientiane (Wat Si Saket, That Luang, Patuxai, Mekong River Night Market)
D4: Vientiane minivan--Vang Vieng (Blue Lagoon, Nam Song River Tubing, Vang Vieng Bar Street)
D5: Vang Vieng--Luang Prabang (Mekong River Sunset, Night Market)
D6: Luang Prabang (Morning Alms Giving, Morning Market, Kuang Si Falls)
D7: Luang Prabang (Amantaka--Wat Xieng Thong--French Old Bridge)
D8: Luang Prabang (Phou Si Hill, Royal Palace, Old Town Stroll)
D9: Luang Prabang--Boten--Mohan--Xishuangbanna
🌟🌟🌟Must-do in Luang Prabang: The ancient city of Luang Prabang, with its thousand-year history, Kuang Si Falls, Mekong River Sunset, Monk Alms Giving, Old Town Stroll. You can also stay in the mountains, find a resort to relax for a few days (Amantaka, Rosewood, and other resorts)~
🌟🌟🌟Must-experience in Vang Vieng: The pristine nature of Vang Vieng, if you like the outdoors, you can stay a few more days. Kayaking, tubing, cave exploration, hot air ballooning, and the lagoon are just some of the many activities available, and they are very cost-effective~
🌟🌟🌟Must-see in Vientiane: The capital Vientiane, a hidden Buddhist realm. If you have time, you can go and see, mainly the Patuxai and a few temples. Vientiane also has overland access to Thailand's Lamang~
🚝Transportation:
The entire journey can be done by high-speed train. I took a minivan from Vientiane to Vang Vieng, which was picked up and dropped off at the hotel, making it more convenient.

Laos' Little Guilin, Vang Vieng
The city of Vang Vieng in Laos is known as Little Guilin, surrounded by karst mountains, with the Mekong River flowing through it, boasting the most beautiful lakeside sunsets in summer.
Tour Recommendations
You can rent a motorcycle to tour the city, with a daily rental fee of about 30 yuan.

On the way back, you can visit Pha Ngern View Point to watch the sunset, about 10 kilometers from the city. Free of charge
Attraction Recommendations
Nam Song River tubing, starting from the north side, following the river back to the city. Along the way, you can immerse yourself in the karst landscape. Midway, you can choose to hike, explore caves, and other activities.
The cost of tubing within 5 kilometers is about 25 yuan per boat. Tubing combined with cave exploration takes half a day, costing around 50 yuan.

The 'Li River' of Laos - Nam Song River
Vang Vieng, a very small town in Laos, has become a hub for outdoor activities thanks to its karst topography that forms numerous small peaks, the 'Li River'-like Nam Song River, and the blue lagoons... Activities such as hot air ballooning, paragliding, cave tubing, kayaking, mountain biking, road go-karting, and blue lagoon diving have flourished, but the most attractive is still the Nam Song River.
The houses along the Nam Song River, set against the backdrop of the karst landscape, are particularly charming. The river flows swiftly, often stirring up waves, but it is not deep, mostly covered with pebbles, making it very clear. Even without engaging in any activities, just drifting along is absolutely comfortable.
However, it is best to avoid the midday sun.

Laos | Outdoor Paradise Vang Vieng
From Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng, I finally feel like I'm in Southeast Asia.
❤Reason for recommendation:
Most travelers come to Vang Vieng for its beautiful mountains and waters and a wealth of outdoor activities.
Hot air balloons, paragliding, go-karts, zip lines, cave exploration, diving, kayaking, tire drifting, no matter the age or gender, the love for fun will be released here.
👍Most recommended:
The caves here are not overly developed and maintain their original state. The exploration of the caves is full of unknown adventures with only headlamps for lighting.
👍Most recommended:
If you think the kayaking arranged by the travel agency is just a simple paddle and photo session, you're mistaken. This is a project that requires skill and physical strength, a real hour of hard rowing.
🌟Highlight:
Diving requires courage. Standing on a 5-meter diving platform is indeed daunting, but bravely jumping down will win applause from the surrounding spectators.

Laos "Little Guilin" | Wanrong Travel Guide
Laos - the most convenient neighboring country to reach by land, this country is poor and backward, but people are content with the status quo, attracting global tourists with its original scenery and leisurely small towns.
Among them, the tourist town of Wanrong not only shares the same name as a county town in China, but also has scenery similar to Guilin in Guangxi, with familiar karst landforms. The difference is that it maintains its original flavor to a great extent, and even with tourists from all over the world, there is no obvious commercial taste. From high-end resorts to cheap youth hostels, different consumer groups can enjoy themselves here.
Perhaps it is related to the gameplay. The local outdoor organizations are very professional, and all daytime activities are held outdoors, allowing you to get close to nature and mountains. There are different combinations for different players, and even beginners can have fun and return satisfied.
And at night, it's a time for free relaxation, your own time, just like the pace of life in this country. Lying flat is the correct way to open up, and besides, Wanyuan is more like a countryside, but it will cater to the needs of tourists and provide travel convenience and comfort as much as possible.
TIPS:
Best travel months: December to February
Transportation: high-speed train, self-driving, private shuttle bus
⛺[Recommended Activities]:
1. Hot air balloon sightseeing: Sunrise and sunset are the best time periods. The hot air balloons here are very safe and feel like toys. They fly slowly and low, and you can even greet people below clearly.
2. Passionate Go-Karting: The beautiful scenery of Wanrong is distributed in the countryside, on rugged rural roads, making it the perfect place to drive go-karts. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way and experience the excitement of bumps and thrills.
3. Kayaking: The shallow and gentle Nan Song River in winter is especially suitable for this activity. Kayaking downstream requires almost no effort, as long as you maintain balance, you can enjoy the joy of this sport.
4. Tire drifting: All you need is a tire, drifting downstream from upstream. Europeans and Americans enjoy it the most, drifting while drinking Lao beer, carefree and happy.
5. Blue Sinkhole and Cave: The cave in Wanrong is not as beautiful as those in Guangxi, but it is unique; the water in the cave flows out and forms a pool, clear and blue, called the Blue Sinkhole. Laotians have added recreational facilities such as diving platforms, swings, and tree houses. The surrounding environment is excellent, perfect for playing fancy diving and enjoying nature.
6. Hiking to watch the sunset: The small mountain is suitable for climbing, with only a small fee charged. There is a simple observation pavilion set up at the top, as well as props for taking photos. It's not just about how beautiful the scenery is, but the atmosphere of a small United Nations is what makes it interesting.
7. Leisure by the Nan Song River: After a tiring day of playing, the Nan Song River at night is the best place to rest. Enjoy the cool breeze, savor Laotian cuisine, release Kongming lanterns, and indulge in romance. Some dining tables are even placed in the water, adding a touch of creativity.
Above, you can explore on your own or join a local tour with a small United Nations-style approach. The key is to let go and knowing how to swim is also important.
🏨[Accommodation Guide]: Riverside scenic hotel, rice field hotel across the river, in short, if you have requirements for accommodation, location is the most important.
🧡[Other reminders]:
1) All the needs for travel can be met at the inn where you stay, including joining a tour, booking a bus to the next destination, renting a car, etc., without the need to avoid traps like in China.
2) If you go in January, you may also encounter the Lao New Year. There will be plenty of handsome guys and beautiful girls at the event, showcasing ethnic costumes. It's just a bit hot during the day.
