Sakura and Yoshinoyama !!
Yoshinoyama and cherry blossoms!!!
Mount yoshino is located in Nara prefecture. The most popular springtime flower in Japan is hands down cherry blossom. And the cherry blossoms on Yoshinoyama are a great example of why so much fanfare is made about these wonderful blooms in Japan. Yoshinoyama have over 30,000 cherry trees that tinge the valley pink during the blooming season . This unspoiled landscape is not to be missed.
And another main reason I came to Yoshinoyama is my Kumano Kodo hiking trail’s connection.
So ,to me that make more sense and such an important reason to come to Yoshinoyama.
And I found myself here , I enjoy trails rather than shopping mall and human crowd. I love hiking, walking, looking at the trees , flowers and beautiful landscape and it made me more energetic and looking forward to this !!
Friendly speaking, not so straightforward to come here . Need to planned before the night and keep follow up with few trains transfers, buses and keep checking all the updates of trains platforms and timing . But , to me a bit excited and I love those kind of adventures and planning at that . Be very patient with yourself. Keep reminding myself that I did so well 🤭🤭.
But , if you all are not so used to it and less hassle, just take a tour to yoshino and enjoy flowers 🌸. There are few tour arranged to yoshino for 🌸 season.
But , doesn’t matter you are just enjoying the flowers or you are hiking the trails , remember to wear comfortable shoes, recommend a good hiking shoes to be better and be prepared a few extra layers to bare the cold on the mountain and some water / snacks and umbrella or rain cover , since the weather changes so quickly and drastically. See you on the other side of the world 🌎!!

Yoshino mountain is located at Nara, Japan. It has been Japan's most famous cherry blossom viewing spot. Yoshinoyama's cherry blossoms typically start opening in late March or early April and reach full bloom around early to mid April.
But regardless of the season Mount Yoshino is not a dissapoontment. When you get there you must not miss one of the most sacred spots for Shugendo, a syncretic mix of Buddhism and Shinto, see the stunning seasonal changes on the mountain, and ride the ropeway to get the best view from the mountain.

Day Trip To Mt Yoshino
Heading to Osaka to catch the sakura this week? Don’t miss the chance to drop by Mt Yoshino, as it will likely reach full bloom within the next few days!
Take the Limited Express train from Osaka-Abenobashi station, and it’s only 1hr 15mins away! You’ll need to reserve the limited express train tickets on the Kintetsu railway website (520JPY) and then buy a basic fare ticket at the station/enter using your Pasmo/Suica card (~1100JPY).
Tip: You might want to eat a full meal at Osaka first as there are limited food options there. Additionally, you can choose to take 2 buses (400-450JPY/trip) all the way up to Okusenbon to reduce the amount of hiking you need to do.

Exploring the lavish scenery of this idyllic sanctuary, we were entranced by the mesmerizing views that greeted us at every corner, leaving us in a state of pure wonder.
Mt Yoshino in Nara prefecture is renowned for its opulent allure, transcending the realms of natural beauty and delving into the realm of cultural and historical significance. This majestic mountain has been bestowed with the prestigious title of a Unesco World Heritage site, owing to its sacred essence as a revered pilgrimage destination. The allure of Yoshino lies within its resplendent tapestry of approximately 30,000 cherry blossom trees, meticulously planted at varying elevations. Throughout the ages, this mountain has served as a wellspring of inspiration for Japanese folk songs and poetry, largely attributed to the ethereal blossoms that grace its slopes. As spring unfurls its vibrant canvas, the blossoms gradually unfurl along the mountain, enchanting visitors with their ephemeral beauty in different stages, a spectacle to be savoured and cherished.

Japanese sakura is famous all over the world, and sakura in Yoshino is the most beautiful in Japan. The road up Mount Yoshino goes past small mountain villages and thousands of sakura trees. The view from the top is incomparable. Come and see why this is one of the most popular places to admire spring blooms.
There is a shuttle service to the mountain from the railway station.
It takes 40 minutes by train from Nara to Yoshino Station on the Kintetsu Line. A shuttle will take guests from the railway station to the lower station of the Senbonguchi Cable Car.
It is interesting
About thirty thousand sakura trees grow on Mount Yoshino
The Yoshino Mountain Cable Car is the oldest in Japan
There are several temples and shrines on Mount Yoshino
The most beautiful flowering
Mount Yoshino is divided into four zones. Due to the different heights and varieties of sakura, the flowers in each zone look different. In order to admire the flowering, it is not necessary to climb to the very top. In the lower zone, Simo, and the middle zone, Naka, there are many beautiful trees.
The cable car from Senbonguchi Station ascends to the top of Mount Yoshino. There are several food stalls, restaurants and shops in the village near the station. Be sure to visit the Kimpusen-ji Temple. Sakura flowers turn the world around them into an unforgettable fairy tale.
It's all about time
The flowering season shifts slightly every year, but usually the best time to visit Mount Yoshino is in mid-April. The most magnificent flowering can be observed in each zone alternately with an interval of several days.

No more cherry blossom refugees, the century-old cherry trees are in full bloom and stunningly beautiful!!
No more cherry blossom refugees, the century-old cherry trees are in full bloom and stunningly beautiful. For those near the Kyoto-Nara route who can't see cherry blossoms, look here. This year's cherry blossoms in Japan are really unfriendly. The expected Yoshino mountain flower sea was harshly hit. Thankful to have come across this treasure temple, Honzen-ji, which has several huge cherry trees. Everyone who comes in and sees this cherry tree is amazed. It's truly beautiful! Taken on 3/31, it is currently in full bloom. Everyone, rush over!!!
Location: honzen-ji
Ticket: 600 yen
Shooting date: 2024.3.31
(Estimated viewing period is about 2 weeks)
Tips: The temple does not accept groups, only individuals can enter. Due to its century-old history and lack of maintenance, there may be times when it is not open, but it's really super niche. Enjoying the entire cherry blossom garden to yourself is the biggest surprise of this trip to Japan. Currently, only the lower Senbon parking lot in Yoshino mountain has some cherry blossoms open.
The estimated best viewing period is around 4.10.

Yoshinoyama, the romance of thirty thousand cherry blossoms in full bloom

The flowers bloom from the foot of the mountain to the top, the flowering period will generally last for a month, the flowering period in the highest altitude area is relatively late, the cherry blossoms light up at night, you can enjoy the charming night cherry different from the daytime.

[Yoshino Mountain Free Travel‧Cherry Blossom Valley Guide] 🌸✨
The breathtaking scenery of Nara Yoshino's Ichimoku Senbon is definitely a must-see in one's lifetime! This time, I'll share a travel guide for hiking in the mountains, so everyone can bookmark it first.
<❓>Stay at the foot of the mountain or make a round trip in a day, or is a two-day, one-night mountain trip better?
Speaking from experience, if you arrive at Mount Yoshino around 10 o'clock, it's barely enough time to play for the day trip! If you split it into two days, the itinerary will be much easier. Collect the Goshuin stamps and you can play at Oku Senbon to Naka Senbon in one day, and play at Naka Senbon to Shimo Senbon in one day.
<❓>When and where is the best time to see the most spectacular cherry blossoms?
Yoshino Mountain is definitely the best place to go when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom in Kyoto! Because whether you visit the lower or upper part of the mountain, you can see the cherry blossoms from above... 😂 Besides the staircase trail leading up to the Kinpusen-ji Shrine, there are actually no cherry blossom trees at the Otennouji Temple! Personally, I don't think it's worth visiting.
Want to know when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom? Download the "Sakura no Kimochi" app for accurate information!
🌸 Round-trip recommended for the day
From Yoshino Station, take a mountain bus to Naka Senbon, then take another mountain bus to Oku Senbon. Enjoy slowly from the mountaintop to Rakuhara Senbon, then take a cable car back to Yoshino Station to leave.
✴️ The must-visit scenic spots are roughly the same as the 2-day-1-night itinerary below, but the time is more urgent, and you have to give up going to Kawabon for food (it's better to bring a lunch box up the mountain)~
🌸 Suggested itinerary for a two-day-one-night trip (Day 1 and Day 2 can be switched according to preference)
Day 1️⃣ Yoshino Station > Take the mountain cable car from "Senbon-kuchi" Station to "Mt. Yoshino" Station > Walk down Senbon to Naka Senbon*
⭕ Recommended attractions: Jinfengshan Temple Zaodo, Copper Torii, Yoshimizu Shrine (the observatory here can have a glimpse of Senbon's great scenery, but please note that it closes at 5 o'clock), restaurants and souvenir shops along the way (introduced later)
Day 2️⃣ Yoshino Station > Take the mountaineering bus until Nakasenbon > Take the mountaineering bus until Okusenmoto > Walk slowly from the top of the mountain to Nakasenmoto > Take the bus back to Yoshino Station in Nakasenbon
⭕ Recommended attractions: Jinfeng Shrine, Saigyoan, Hanayakura Observatory
❌ Personally do not recommend Goseongsan Observatory
P.S. 2 days and 1 night, it would be best if you can book accommodation on the mountain, but the cherry blossom season may still be very difficult! You can also book to the foot of the mountain or Kashihara city.
=================
<Transportation> From Kyoto or Osaka
From Osaka or Kyoto to Yoshino Station by car, it usually takes about 2 hours by car (you can check Google for details). There are multiple modes of transportation here. Personally, I recommend taking the JR limited express reserved seat car, which is several hundred to more than 1,000 yen more expensive, but the time is half to an hour faster than ordinary cars.

Nara Yoshinoyama, the top flow of cherry blossom spots
grass long flying, is another year of cherry blossom season. Combining your own Japanese cherry blossom experience, I highly recommend Yoshinoyama as a popular spot for cherry blossoms. In addition to the favorite Kyoto, it is the most amazing and memorable of Nara Yoshinoyama. In fact, as soon as the cherry blossom season is over, there are no beautiful cherry blossom spots in the whole of Japan. However, if you miss the blooming period, go to Yoshinoyama and try your luck. From the bottom to the long flowering period, you can enjoy it. Cherry blossoms at different times.
The most famous one is the current scent of cherry blossoms, and the cherry blossom rain is enchanting. It is a very good choice to taste authentic Japanese rice balls in the cherry blossom forests all over the mountains, tease and tease the Shiba Inu, or buy a cherry blossom painting at the Jishui Shrine.
The tour route basically takes the bus from Yoshino Station to the middle thousand, then slowly walks to thousands of books, you can choose to go all the way down or take the bus back to the station. It takes about two hours to travel from Kyoto or Osaka, and the viewing time is 4-5 hours. If you have plenty of time, it is recommended to choose a place nearby to see the cherry blossoms early.
Tired, you can try local cherry blossom Pueraria, roasted bamboo shoots, dried persimmons and other mountain goods. Unlike the bustling metropolis, the simplicity and tranquility of the mountains are not changed by tourists.

Yoshinoyama, Nara Prefecture, Japan is famous for its cherry blossoms. It has the reputation of being the first in Japan. When spring comes, the pink cherry blossoms fill the mountains and are called "Yoshino Chiba Sakura". From the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, there are cherry trees, and the cherry blossoms are full of spring. Yoshinoyama, famous for its cherry blossoms, is divided into four parts. In April of each year, the cherry blossoms are in the order of mountain of the mountains, thousands of mountains, thousands of mountains and thousands of mountains. In full bloom, the scene is spectacular. The red maple leaves in autumn and the white shrouded scenery in winter are also beautiful.
Ocean channel
Yoshinoyama is located in the middle of Nara. It is a place of practice for Japanese Buddhism. Therefore, there are many ancient temples, and many famous names have emerged. Because the cherry blossoms of Yoshinoyama are referred to as Shenmu by the practitioners, many believers have come to donate the cherry trees, making this a premier cherry blossom attraction in Japan.
Sakura is open along the mountain. From the next thousand, thousands of books, thousands of books, has been open to the Austrian thousand. The cherry blossoms in other places are just a flash in the pan, but the mountains are warm and cold, making the flowering period of Yoshinoyama exceptionally long.
Within a month, spend thousands of copies from the foot of the mountain, all the way to the top of the Olympics. When the next thousand feet near the foot of the mountain have been prosperous, the middle thousand is probably a good time for the cherry blossoms. The Ao Qian, placed at the highest point, is still waiting to be released.
