｜Luya Mountain is the Altay of Shanxi people. The weather has been cool recently, so I also went to Luya Mountain. Starting from Taiyuan, it took about 3 hours to drive there, about 1 hour on the highway and 2 hours on the highway.
It is best to leave before 8 am and arrive before 10 am, because the weather will become cold and the park will be closed after 4 or 5 pm.
Friends who drive themselves can go directly to Gaoqiaowa without going to Luyashan Visitor Center. The fee is 100 for adults, 50 for children and students, and 25 for buses.
(The attraction behind the visitor center is the source of the Fen River. It is free of charge. You can choose to visit it after returning from the Malun Grassland. You don’t have to take a bus here. The bus here costs 65 per person. If you drive directly to Gaoqiaowa, it costs 25 per person.)
You can feel the beautiful scenery on the way to Gaoqiaowa. Don’t waste too much time, because the scenery of Malen Grassland is even more beautiful.
Malan Grassland is at the top of Luya Mountain. You can take a bus to Gaoqiaowa and then climb the mountain for about 20 minutes after getting off the bus. The scenery along the way is also very beautiful!
You can see Lover's Valley on the way to Gaoqiaowa. We didn't go there because I think it is more suitable for couples.
It’s best for everyone to wear long sleeves and long pants, firstly because it’s cold, and secondly because there are a lot of bugs!
Once you go up the mountain, the view is suddenly clear and beautiful. It is very different from the mountains in Taiyuan. I personally think it is worth coming! Looks great without filters!
Please check the weather forecast before departure, and check it again the night before departure. If the weather is bad, the park may be closed and you may not be able to take good photos.
