Xinzhou is a real treasure trove. I just went to Guancen Mountain last month and now I want to go again. Gorgeous!!! Every spot is scenic! You see the little calf grazing, the clouds after the rain are super impressive, surrounded by clouds and mist, everything is perfect, thanks to Mother Nature for this day. Perfect for summer hiking, where you can admire lush pine forests, alpine meadows, and flowing streams. Equipment: Hiking boots or trail shoes, backpack, water bottle, sunglasses, sunscreen, rain gear, flashlight or headlamp and extra batteries. Public Transport: Take the train to Ningwu County (train numbers 4616, 1138, K7802, etc.), then transfer to a bus to Dongzhai Town in Ningwu County, and from Dongzhai Town, hire a car to the scenic area. Attractions: 1. Luya Mountain 2.万年冰洞 (Wannian Ice Cave) 3. Heyeping 4. Cliff Plank Road Dongzhai Town is the main gateway to the scenic area. There are many restaurants and hotels to choose from in the town. After your hike, you can enjoy local specialties such as *kaolaolao* and *wan tuo* in Ningwu County or Wuzhai County.
