Hellvellyn from the other side
Many people who choose to climb the England’s 3rd highest peak will start their ascent from the Glenridding on Ulswater. This climb is of course beautiful but the length of the route can mean a round trip can take up your whole day.
Another, much quicker way is to take the route up from Thirlmere close to Keswick, equally as beautiful but more direct the whole round trip can take a little over 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to explore the area’s other attractions.
However, be warned quicker mean steeper and as you can see from our photos the weather in winter can be wild at the top. #mountain #hike #lakedistrict
