[2024 Nantong Stay] Travel Guide for Atour Hotel Nantong Central Business District (Updated Oct)
Start your journey in comfort.
As soon as I stepped into the Atour Hotel lobby, I was immediately drawn to the minimalist yet stylish design. The warm lighting and wooden elements create a cozy and elegant atmosphere, instantly relieving the fatigue of travel.
The room was even more impressive. The bedding was soft and comfortable, like sinking into a cloud, and every detail exuded sophistication and thoughtfulness. Whether it was the high-quality pure cotton four-piece set or the just-right pillow height, it all ensured a good night's sleep.

Finally found it, a city in Jiangsu that might be so obscure you've never heard of it
Finally, I found a city that is off the beaten path for the May Day holiday.
How obscure is it? So much so that even the hotel prices haven't really gone up.
Traveling here during the holiday, the value for money is off the charts.
This is Nantong, with its mountains and sea, and loads of scenic spots!
Super suitable for lying flat~
.
There are really a lot of fun places in Nantong, and it doesn't lose out to neighboring Shanghai or Yangzhou at all. Moreover, most of the attractions are in the urban area and its surroundings, accessible by subway, making it very suitable for those without cars and for family trips.

✔️Must-visit attractions in Nantong
1️⃣Nantong Museum Garden
The development of the city of Nantong cannot be separated from one person—Zhang Jian, and the Nantong Museum Garden was founded by Mr. Zhang Jian in 1905. It is the first public museum created by Chinese people and is both a microcosm of the industrial salvation of the country at that time and the current city card of Nantong.
2️⃣Tangzha Ancient Town
Different from traditional Jiangnan ancient towns, Tangzha Ancient Town is an industrial heritage town. It is home to many industrial production bases from the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, retaining many historical traces.
3️⃣Qixiu Bridge (Haohe River night view)
The Haohe River scenic area is vast, and the night view is beautiful, but it's hard to find a good spot to enjoy it. It is recommended to go to Qixiu Bridge for the view. Observing the bridge from both sides of the river is truly beautiful, and it makes for great photos.
4️⃣Wolf Mountain Scenic Area
Climbing to the top of Wolf Mountain, you can overlook the majestic scenery of the Yangtze River. At the top, there is a Guangjiao Temple, with a very imposing couplet at the entrance: 'A long roar and the mountains echo, looking up all around, the sea is vast and the sky is high,' which matches the scenery corresponding to the temple very well.
Nantong is a lot of fun, will come again next time!

ATOUR hotels has been the best ever. they are so exclusive and beautiful. staff is always welcoming. breakfast great, it also caters for Westerns. This one is in Nantong, closer to the subway. it has big rooms too. Front desk is welcoming and helpful. Room service ladies are also kind and friendly. The hotel also has the library which caters for both Chines and English readers. I had a great stay, I can strongly say I'd always choose Atour for better experience and its affordability.
