Atmosphere/Location - The Nam Kat Yolapa Biodiversity Museum was just completed in 2024 and opened in February. It displays pictures of rare animals and insects that live in the park. The highlight here is the rare butterflies that are preserved, rare insects that are well organized and provide information to tourists about the biodiversity. The animals are well preserved. #2024WishEvent #Oudomxay A base area for crossing over to northern Laos and China.. It's an ordinary village, but for me, a Korean, it was a very quiet and peaceful village that was not ordinary. It's not a tourist destination, so there are few people, and the food is cheap, but it's delicious, as if it's a collaboration with Chinese food.. I stopped by this city before crossing over to Nong Khiaw, but I would have regretted it if I had just passed by without staying for one night.. I usually go to Nong Khiaw through Luang Prabang, but domestic flights are often cheaper than trains, so if domestic flights are cheap, it's convenient to go from Oudomxay to Nong Khiaw.

Nam Kat Waterfal is about an hour drive from the town of Oudom Xai in the country's north-central area, just outside the Nam Ha National Bio-Diversity Reserve in Laos' Xiangkhouang Province. It's advisable to hire a guide in town and get a good night's sleep and a hearty meal before heading out, as the climb to the falls and back will take at least a few hours.
