Yick Fat Building: A Must-Visit Spot for Photographers!
Yick Fat Building is another iconic photo spot in Hong Kong, known for its densely packed high-rise buildings that create a detailed and unique image. Prepare a wide-angle lens to capture the full view of the buildings. The building is located in the Quarry Bay area of Hong Kong. Take the Island Line (blue line) and get off at Tai Koo Station (太古站) or Quarry Bay Station (鰂魚涌站). Yick Fat Building is a residential area for locals, so please respect the privacy of the residents, avoid making loud noises, or doing anything that might disturb others in the area.

Korean Delights
This small shop is located in North Point, just a few minutes' walk from the MTR station, making it quite convenient! Friends living nearby should give it a try~
Korean Joy Four-Flavor Fried Chicken (Boneless)
Choose any four flavors~ All are boneless chicken pieces, full of meat! I chose Cheddar Cheese Fried Chicken, Scallion Fried Chicken, Honey Butter Fried Chicken, and Garlic Soy Sauce Fried Chicken. Among them, Honey Butter Fried Chicken is my favorite😍
Kimchi Pancakes
There are three small kimchi pancakes, but the portion is not small at all. Each pancake is thicker than expected! You must dip them in the accompanying sauce, which is sour and appetizing!
Grilled Beef Roll Rice
The roll rice not only has grilled beef but also pickled radish, shredded carrots, and cucumber, all of which are crispy ingredients, making the overall texture richer!
Iced Lemon Tea
Surprisingly, this Korean restaurant offers authentic iced lemon tea! However, you can't customize it; it's pre-set~
Iced Sea Salt Coffee
A large cup with a salty-sweet taste that goes well together! Smooth to drink!

Quarry Bay beginner hiking route | Admire the clock flowers and search for strange rocks.
After the Chinese New Year, the weather has slightly improved and many flowers are blooming!
The Comber's Greenway is located near Quarry Bay and Tai Koo, with the trail connecting Hong Kong Parkview and Braemar Hill. The entire route takes about 2 hours to complete, and many nearby residents come here for a leisurely walk. Along the way, you will encounter strange and interesting rock formations that resemble dinosaurs, apes, and fish fins, which make for great photo opportunities. If you come during the right season, you can also see a large number of hanging bell flowers in bloom. There are no supply stations along the entire route, only pavilions for travelers to rest.
To get to the Kam Po Country Trail, exit from Exit B of Tai Koo Station and walk left along King's Road to Kai Lai Road. Walk along the right side of the road until the end, then turn right into the second section of Wai Yick Street. After walking a short distance, you will see a sign for "Tai Tam Country Park (Quarry Bay Extension)" at the entrance. Walk up the stairs on the left side. At the top of the stairs, you will reach the Kam Po Country Trail. Follow the main road towards the Pak Ka
In the middle section, there is a large rock. Standing on the rock, you can overlook the foot of the mountain. The tall trees come into view, as if "standing at the top of the world" and being in the midst of the martial arts world.
Continuing on the path will lead to a large stone formation, with a relatively narrow path that requires extra caution when passing through.
After 20 minutes of walking, there is a secret path on the right side of the mountain path that leads to the "Strange Shaped Rocks". The secret path has a lot of sand and rocks, steep and slippery, so be careful not to walk too fast. After passing through the secret path, you will see rocks of different shapes. In front of you is the monkey-faced ape stone, and on the right is the fish fin-shaped fish fin stone. After returning to the original mountain path, walk for 5 minutes to reach the dinosaur stone, which is extremely similar in appearance and expression, and there are plants growing nearby, like a dinosaur "having a meal", super interesting and strange!
After leaving "Jurassic Park", walk towards the Ba Jia Shan Road, and along the way, you will see the green mountain path decorated with pitcher plants. Many photography enthusiasts come here specifically to capture the blooming scene of the pitcher plants.
Walking forward for a while will lead to the end of the hiking trail, and turning left up the slope at the end will bring you back to the ancient city area.
Kampung Kemensah Hiking Trail
Duration: 2 hours
Directions: Take the excursion path to Kangbo by exiting the turnstile at Exit B of Tai Koo Station, turning left onto King's Road and walking to Kiley Road. Walk along the right side until the end, then turn into the second entrance of Wei Yixin Path. After walking for a while, you will see a sign for "Tai Tam Country Park (Quarry Bay Extension)" at the entrance. Walk up the stairs on the left-hand side to reach the Kangbo excursion path.

Visit to Monster Building
It is a conglomerated building in Quarry Bay which is a incredibly dense and stacked residential complexes. Within the complexes, Yik Cheong Building and Montane Mansion are perfect reflection of Hong Kong's urban density.
After the Hollywood blockbuster like the Ghost in the Shell and Transformers : Age of Extinction featured the complexes, it is now "the monster building". It's popularity attracted visitors of local and worldwide.
Indeed, it is a private housing estate which house around ten thousand people. There are street shops at the podium and ground floor. Because of the popularity of the stacked development and spectacular views shown in films, a lot of visitors and fans came for photo takings and eventaully caused disturbance to the residents. Hence, warnings and banners are found placed at the podium and fences are installed to protect the structures.
Let's show respect and care to others and to such amazing architecture.

Fancy Italian Cuisine With Excellent Cheese Wheel Dish
The restaurant is called La Favorita, located at The Sixteenth, 2/F, Oxford House, Tai Koo Place, 979 King’s Road, Quarry Bay.
Went there for family lunch, so we had a quite big party that allow us to order many varieties. They have lunch set which includes appetizer, main dish and desserts.
In the beginning they will serve bread and olive oil as complementary. We ordered sparkling water for the drinks, but they have much more choices including alcohols.
For the appetizer, we have king prawn cocktail, tomato salad with mozzarella cheese and cheese platter (I don’t know how they call it but in the platter are tartar meat, salami, ham, aged meat and cheese). My favorite is the prawn cocktail as the prawns are big and there are some smaller prawns inside the bowl.
For the main dishes, what stucks on my mind is the cheese wheel. The restaurant staff will come with a trolley and a bowl made of cheese (so inside is hollow and where cooked kind-of-macaroni put inside) and will prepare the food in front of us. It is creamy and filling, but didn’t make you feel too sick of cheese. Other main dish includes bolognaise, seafood stew, pork belly, wagyu beef (the food actually comes with Italian name, but I cannot remember it, so I just write according to the ingredients)
For dessert, they have tiramisu, pudding and fruits with sherbet. All tastes good without too overwhelmingly sweet.
As common for fine dining, we took 2 hours to finish the whole meal, so make sure you have plenty of time to spare in the restaurant
