Getting There - Situated at Selama, Perak. We went there from Kulim, Kedah. It took around 50 minutes to reach there. Parking is spacious and big. The ticket for adult is RM2, kid is RM1. For campsite RM10. Attractions - The waterfall is suitable for family and friends gathering, picnic and camping. The water also not very deep so good and save for kids. There also have chalet if you want stay. Food & Restaurants - There are few shops nearby and selling foods and drinks. The water and place is clean and well maintained. #springitinerary This waterfall is definitely a bit off the beaten path. When I visited, I had the whole place to myself — like a private playground to enjoy however I wanted! 🎉💦 📍 Location: 34800 Terong, Perak 🕒 About 3 hours’ drive from Kuala Lumpur Terong, also known as Trong, is a quiet little town about 16 km from Taiping. Trong Falls is tucked away right in this peaceful town. There are no obvious signboards leading you to the falls, but you can follow signs to the Water Treatment Plant. When you reach a “Y” junction, turn right (left leads to the treatment plant). The road gets narrower and there’s a damaged uphill section, but regular cars can still slowly make their way through. At the end of the road is a small parking area. On the left, you’ll find a ladder — climb down and you’ll see the waterfall. (We didn’t drive all the way; we parked at a spot where we saw other vehicles and walked about 45 minutes to find the ladder.) The ladder is a bit steep — don’t look down if you’re afraid of heights! 😅 But once you’re down, you’ll be greeted by the stunning T-shaped main waterfall. On a sunny morning, our family gathered at home to get ready for the long-awaited destination: Family Day at D Lata Saya, Pantai Besar. The children's excitement was clearly visible on their faces, eager to have fun and spend time with their relatives. We moved in convoy, with the atmosphere in the car full of joy. Favorite songs were playing, and the children were busy chatting about the various activities they wanted to do later. When we arrived at the waterfall area, we were greeted by the soothing sound of gurgling water, green trees gently swaying in the wind, and the fresh air that was so refreshing. Our day was filled with various fun activities. Starting with sports games, children and parents participated in games such as tug-of-war, sack race, and water balloon throwing. Non-stop laughter filled the atmosphere, especially when the water balloons burst and soaked those who were not prepared. Not to be missed are events for mothers such as group cooking, where they showed creativity in preparing delicious village dishes. After lunch, the most anticipated event was the bathing session at the waterfall. The water was so cool and clear, giving us a feeling of comfort every time we reached the water. The children happily played on the natural slide formed from slippery rocks, while the adults chose to relax under the trees while chatting and appreciating the beauty of the environment. A very meaningful moment was when we all gathered for a family photo session. Although some were soaked and their hair was messy, smiles and sincerity were clearly visible. Moments like these strengthen family ties and create unforgettable memories. Towards evening, we ended this beautiful day with relaxing activities, enjoying snacks such as traditional sweets and fresh coconut water. We returned home with a satisfied heart, bringing sweet memories and the hope of having an even more lively Family Day in the future. D Lata Saya, Pantai Besar, has left a deep impression on our family, reminding us of the importance of quality time with our loved ones, away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday world.

In the small town of Taiping in Perak State, there is a lake in the city, which makes Taiping beautiful. With the addition of the Rain Trees, it becomes even more beautiful, tranquil, and serene. The unique branch structure of the Rain Trees gives a sense of vicissitudes, and also makes people feel relaxed and happy. Taiping Lake Park was established in 1880. It is a disused tin mine lake left over from the past mining activities. After recycling and designed into a garden, it has become the pride of the people of Taiping and a good place for everyone to take a walk. Now the road around the lake has also been turned into a pedestrian street, called Raintree Walk. The Rain Trees were planted by the British a hundred years ago. These 'centenarians' are now 'millionaires'.

I got a chance to pay a visit at the beautiful of Kampung Baru Kurau for my super short staycation. The Taiping Lake Gardens is certainly one of the most beautiful parks in Malaysia. The park actually consists of several lakes and ponds, flanked with rainforest trees and the occasional wildlife (perhaps courtesy of the Zoo nearby?) We went for an evening stroll and it wasn't too hot at that time. Be sure to bring some water along and wear comfy shoes as the park is very big, we walked for an hour!

The view of the waterfall is very beautiful and awake. the cleanliness of the surrounding area is very neat and clean. Ticket prices apply. Adult ticket price RM 2 and ticket price for children RM 1 per person. If you bring your own tent you will be charged a site rental fee of rm 10. There is also a charge for using the toilet. However, there are a few views that would like to be proposed for improvement for the future.
