Lost in time, eternal monastery surrounded by mountains
#postandearn #ladakh #leh #lehladakh #india
Thiksey monastery is extremely impressive and a must visit in Ladakh.
I went there by public transportation from Leh. First you have to catch a small bus to Choglamsar and from there a shared taxi to Thiksey monastery. It is a bit confusing but locals are helpful and will point put where to get in and out.
The monastery is huge and it took me over 3 hours of slowly walking and exploring. It has lots of passages and rooftop access at different levels.
Photography inside monastery rooms isn't allowed but tourists still can go inside and see the interiors.
Additional bonus were blooming apricot trees 😍 That happened in mid April.

Ancient Buddhist monastery lost in mountains
#postandearn #india #leh #lehladakh #ladakh
Hemis monastery is a beautiful, very old Buddhist monastery lost in mountains and accessible from Leh. I went on a rental scooter and the trip was wonderful!
The road is good, the views of surrounding mountains are stunning and the monastery itself is serene and tranquil.
The monastery wasn't crowded and lots of monks were everywhere. I walked through different rooms and passages, enjoyed the view from rooftops and then just sat on one of the benches at the yard and enjoyed details of the temple buildings and listened to chanting.
Overall, highly recommend this place.
Tip: beware that you must take off your shoes to go inside.
Tip 2: they ask not to take photos inside the monastery, please, be respectful.

Hemus Temple
I came to Helus Monastery in Ladakh, India.
It's about 1.5 hours by rental motorbike from the city of Leh. The 17th century monastery is quietly located in a remote valley.
There are almost no tourists, so you can enjoy sightseeing comfortably.
On the way there are also Sutakna Gompa, Thiksey Gompa, and Shey Gompa, so why not rent a motorbike and go around them all in one day!

Thiksey Gompa
I came to Thiksey Gompa in Ladakh, India.
It is about an hour by rental motorbike from the city of Leh. There is a monastery at the top, and it is colorful and has a large, spiritual atmosphere, so it is quite worth seeing inside.
The entrance fee is 50 rupees.
It is also very beautiful when illuminated by the sunset.

Pangong Tso
I came to Pangong Tso in Ladakh, India.
Pangong Tso is a lake that became famous in the Indian movie 3 Idiots.
Unfortunately, it was frozen in April, but we were able to walk on the frozen lake.
Tourists were taking photos on it.
When the lake is not frozen, it is a beautiful, clear blue lake that is extremely popular with Indians.
If you want to see the blue lake, it is recommended to go after May.

The highest salt lake in Lah Ladakh🇮🇳🐫
Where else can you beat this place? The view is worth millions, mom. It's a lake, everyone. It's a very large and wide saltwater lake, probably several kilometers long. And the water is blue. Everyone who comes here must be amazed because the view of the water and the mountains are a perfect match. No matter which angle you take a picture from, it's beautiful. The view is worth millions, really. Every angle is beautiful. I want everyone to come here. #tripแจกโรงแรมฟรี

Pangong Tso, Pangong Sea🚐🇮🇳
I can't believe it. I came here. It's my dream since I like mountains. I have to come here at least once in my life. Today I finally arrived. It's as beautiful as the rumors say with the wide blue lake. No matter which angle you take a picture from, it's amazing. It's a row of big mountains. If you come in winter, there's snow on the top. Oh, it's so beautiful beyond words. If anyone comes to Leh, this is the destination. 🦦 #tripแจกโรงแรมฟรี

Pangong Lake, the highest saltwater lake.
Who would believe that this is saltwater, but it's on a mountain? It can be said to be the highest lake in the world because it is almost 20,000 meters above sea level. It is very high, the air is very thin, and it is very cold. In winter, the lake on the mountain turns into ice, and the entire mountain is covered in white. Everywhere you look is white. But we came in the summer, and the temperature is still in single digits. 🏔️🚐

Changla pass, the highest road at 17,688 feet🏍️
Another place that almost uses the word "dead" because this place can't be called the highest road in the world because that place is Kadunglapass which is the highest road above sea level. But this place is no less. It's very high. The air is very thin here. Don't run or do anything fast. Coming here makes our life very slow. It makes the speed we use or do slow down like that. But it's fun and the place is beautiful in another way. #Get a discount without relying on luck

Thiksey Monastery What's on the way here!!!🇮🇳
We came down from Pangong Lake. What we saw was the view of the mountains along the way and the remaining snow. The weather next door was very cold because it was on the mountain. But why didn't the ice melt? It was because the ice was stuck to the rocks. The rocks were cold, so they melted. But it melted slowly. That's why we saw these big snowballs. We could go down and play, but we had to be careful of oncoming cars. But the ice was a bit dirty because it was on the side of the road. #tripแจกโรงแรมฟรี

Pangong Tso in India is worth a visit 🇮🇳🏔️
If anyone has watched 3 idiots, you will see that Pangong Tso Lake is something that should be visited at least once in your life. Because this place is a basin, a large sea, the longest and most eye-catching. And this place is a very large saltwater lake or what Thai people call Pangong. Many people's destination is here. No matter how you take a picture, it's beautiful. And in fact, this place also has many angles. At night, it's quite cold here. It might even be below zero. #tripแจกโรงแรมฟรี

Beautiful everywhere, Pangong Lake, Leh, India
#Lake travel, India travel, not very tired 😍
Pangong Lake in Leh, Ladakh is a saltwater lake at 4,350 meters above sea level. Every day, the water changes color, depending on the temperature and sunlight hitting the water surface. Here, you have to slow down, don't be naughty or playful ^^ We don't have altitude sickness because we took a car from Delhi, stopping to sleep for 2 nights along the way, so we could adjust our bodies.

Pangong Lake
#Lake tour
This lake is more than a hundred kilometers away from Leh city.
Some tourists choose to go for a day trip.
Or choose to stay overnight at the lake.
The route to Pangong Lake is quite winding.
You have to pass the highest point of the route, Chang La Pass.
It is considered the 3rd highest road in the world.
Pangong Lake is more than 130 kilometers long.
It is in India and China.
Aquatic animals cannot live in this lake.
Don't be afraid of leeches, crocodiles or trying to find fish.
Because there really aren't any. There are only ducks and various birds.
That come to play in the lake.
Pangong Lake is a lake surrounded
by high valleys. And the water in this lake
will be dark blue, gradual according to the temperature of the sunlight.
Let me tell you that this is another tourist attraction in Leh Ladakh.
You have to visit it at least once! Let me tell you that it is really beautiful.
It is definitely worth the trip.

Pangong Lake in the end of summer
Experience a small AMS but worth#pangong #leh #ladakh
Overall, the best time to visit Pangong Tso lake is during the summer months when the peak season in Ladakh tourism is in full swing. During the months of January to March, Pangong Lake remains mostly frozen, conditions are extremely cold and there are no options for staying around the lake except for some basic homestays in Spangmik and Man – Merak villages.
In April, the lake begins to melt and begins to transform into a beautiful palette of many shades of blue. Then May to September is the peak tourist season. Tourists flock to the shores of Pangong Tso lake during these months. During this summer period, you can witness a large number of bird species around the lake, including the Bar-headed goose and the most common Brahmini duck.#freehotelstay

Pangong Lake, Ladakh, India. It's so cold, so high, and my head hurts. I can't stand the altitude sickness. The roads are very bad and dangerous, and the air is thin. Please be careful.

“Pangong Lake”
“Pangong Lake” is as beautiful as we expected. One of the highest saltwater lakes in the world, Pangong Lake covers the area of both China and India. The mountain range behind is the Himalayas.
Another must-see tourist attraction when visiting Leh Ladakh. This lake is about a hundred kilometers away from Leh, but it takes about 5-6 hours by car. The route is very scary, head shaking 😂😅 But the blue color of the water in the lake and the sky, plus the cold weather, is also very cold. 🥶

Going to Pangongcho, the last location of the movie "Three Meals a Day"
Pangong Lake, bordering China, is the largest salt lake in Asia. The area that used to be a sea has become a salty lake at 4,350m above sea level due to the uplift of the Himalayas. The snow-covered mountains and the color of the lake change colorfully depending on the time of day.
It is about 130km long, one-third of which is in India and two-thirds in China. 'Pangong' means 'vast depression'.
In the last scene of the movie 'Three Idiots', Pia runs from Leh to Pangong Tso to find Rancho. People who watched the movie thought it was CG, but the director said it was a real place in northern India, making it famous. The refreshing lake I saw in the movie was right in front of my eyes..
On the way to Pangong Tso, I finally met the marmot that Yoo Se-yoon was following.
In the picture, it looks stupid and cute, but in real life, its claws and teeth were amazing...

Here is Changla Pass, Leh, India 🇮🇳
Another pass through one of the ten highest roads in the world
(Height 5,275 meters above sea level)
This is a pass used to travel between Leh Ladakh and Pangong Lake. During winter, the route may be closed due to snow blocking the road.
We went in October before winter. The weather was very cold. The cold wind here penetrated inside. Our hands and ears were so cold that we could barely move. In addition, the air and oxygen were very thin, so we could not stay long, even though we wanted to soak in the atmosphere up here for a bit longer. ❄

Pangong Tso, Ladakh India
Pangong Lake In Ladakh, you never know what surprise nature has in store for you. Pangong Lake, situated at a height of almost 4,350m, is the world’s highest saltwater lake. Its water, which seems to be dyed in blue, stand in stark contrast to the arid mountains surrounding it. Extending to almost 160km, one-third of the Pangong Lake lies in India and the other two-thirds in China.
Pangong Lake, one of the most famous lakes in Leh Ladakh, derives its name from the Tibetan word, “Pangong Tso”, which means “high grassland lake”. You could spend hours in contemplation here, and still not have enough of its beauty. Pangong Lake is also known to change colors, appearing blue, green and red at different times. If you have decided to go on a trip to Ladakh anytime soon, don’t forget to visit the Pangong Lake. The beauty which awaits you there cannot be described in words. It has to be seen, felt and absorbed within yourself.
