This spring, I finally embarked on a self-driving trip to Jinchuan, a land I've long dreamed of, for a romantic encounter with mountains, snowfields, and pear blossoms. Early Preparation: Everything Ready, Worry-free Travel Vehicle Inspection A thorough vehicle inspection is crucial before departure. Ensure that the tire pressure is normal, the wear and tear is within a safe range, and carefully check the brakes, engine oil, coolant, etc. After all, the self-driving journey is long, and the condition of the vehicle directly relates to the safety of the trip. I took my car to a familiar repair shop a week in advance, had the mechanic do a full inspection, replaced worn parts, and prepared a spare tire and simple repair tools. Supplies Jinchuan is located on a plateau with a large temperature difference between day and night, so warm clothing is essential. I brought a light down jacket and warm fleece clothing. Pear Blossom Avenue is just a short stretch of road with pear blossoms on both sides. It is recommended to take a plank road from both ends of Pear Blossom Avenue to the halfway point of Songping Village. Not only can you enjoy a panoramic view of the pear blossoms in the mountain village, but you can also see more ancient pear trees in the village. 2️⃣The next morning, we visited some "wild" attractions along the Dajin River Valley. Starting from Jinchuan County, along the Dajinchuan River, we recommend: (1) Madao Diaolou. It is about 10 minutes’ drive from the county seat. The Madao Diaolou at the highest point of the village is a landmark and is very conspicuous. It takes about 20 minutes to climb from the foot of the mountain by the river to the watchtower. Along the way, dense pear blossoms shade the Tibetan and Qiang houses. (2) Cable bridge. Drive about 10 minutes further ahead from the Diaolou, and you will see the cable bridge across the Dajinchuan River.
