2025.3.22-23 Two-day tour of Jinchuan Pear Blossom in Aba Prefecture, Sichuan

Due to weather reasons this year, the Jinchuan pear blossoms in Aba bloomed about 10 days later than in previous years. On the weekend of March 22nd and 23rd, I joined a tour group to go to Jinchuan to see the pear blossoms. The flower information and suggestions are as follows: 🌟1. Flower Love The pear blossoms in the Dajin River Valley are in bloom, and it is estimated that they will last until early April❗️The Fairy Bag has not bloomed yet (for flower viewing, I think many places are better than the Fairy Bag) 1️⃣On the afternoon of the first day, I went to Songping Village and Lihua Avenue. Pear Blossom Avenue is just a short stretch of road with pear blossoms on both sides. It is recommended to take a plank road from both ends of Pear Blossom Avenue to the halfway point of Songping Village. Not only can you enjoy a panoramic view of the pear blossoms in the mountain village, but you can also see more ancient pear trees in the village. 2️⃣The next morning, we visited some "wild" attractions along the Dajin River Valley. Starting from Jinchuan County, along the Dajinchuan River, we recommend: (1) Madao Diaolou. It is about 10 minutes’ drive from the county seat. The Madao Diaolou at the highest point of the village is a landmark and is very conspicuous. It takes about 20 minutes to climb from the foot of the mountain by the river to the watchtower. Along the way, dense pear blossoms shade the Tibetan and Qiang houses. (2) Cable bridge. Drive about 10 minutes further ahead from the Diaolou, and you will see the cable bridge across the Dajinchuan River. There are several layers of pear blossoms on the other side of the river after crossing the bridge, and it is more fun to cross the iron chain bridge. (3) Hike to the top of the mountain and overlook the Dajin River. Continue driving forward for about 5 minutes, and you will see a small bus stop (? ) on the side of the road. Next to it is a small road leading up the mountain (no cars). It is recommended to hike for 20 minutes up the mountain to overlook the pear blossoms in the Dajin River Valley; there are also pear blossoms on the river bank near the bus stop. 🌟2. Transportation, food and accommodation 1️⃣Transportation. At least 7.5 hours, with two breaks. (1) Chengdu – Maerkang: The entire journey is on the highway, about 4.5 hours. After the opening of Wenma Expressway, the distance from Chengdu to Lixian Bipenggou is 175 kilometers. The scenery on both sides of the Chengdu-Dujiangyan Expressway is very beautiful this season, with rape flowers, magnolia flowers, red-leaf plums... in full bloom. There are pink red-leaf plum trees and scattered peach blossoms in the river valley and high mountains near Bipenggou in Li County. (2) Maerkang-Jinchuan: National Highway, at least 3 hours. It was a difficult journey with many bends, a long stretch of bad road conditions, and a lot of construction vehicles. 2️⃣Food and accommodation. It is recommended to live in Jinchuan County, which is about 2,500 meters above sea level. It is a small county town with several parallel streets along the river. The meals include Chinese food, Tibetan food, noodles, etc. 🌟3. Suggestions 1. Don’t stick to popular spots. Jinchuan's thousands of acres of pear blossoms are scattered on both sides of the river valley and in various villages. You can choose to view the villages and rivers from close up or from a high vantage point, without having to stick to popular check-in spots. 2. It is better if the trip is 3 days or more. I took a 2-day special trip to Jinchuan to see the pear blossoms, but it was too tiring to drive and take the bus. It is recommended to take a circular tour for more than 3 days, and choose Taoping Qiang Village, Bipenggou, Maerkang Zhuokeji Tusi Official Village, Jinchuan Pear Blossom, Danba Tibetan Village, Siguniang Mountain, etc. This will give you more time, a more relaxed itinerary, and more attractions.
