10.5📍Lake Paiku Live | I'm about to cry 😭😭
|||The lake is so blue and the snow-capped mountains are so clear 🏔️ It's like a dream. When we left by car, listening to Leslie Cheung's "Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter", I sang in my heart: "Ignite the illusory life, I am so lucky." "This is some kind of fate, I am so grateful." For a moment, I felt dizzy, and tears kept spinning in my eyes. I hope that every spring, summer, autumn and winter, whether it is amazing or ordinary, can be treasured for every beautiful encounter in life.
Peko Tso Live: How can there be such a blue lake and clear snow mountain.
How can there be such a blue lake in the world, the lake is clear as a mirror, reflecting the white clouds in the sky and the snow-capped mountains in the distance, so beautiful as if in a dream. The top of the snow mountain is covered with snow, the peaks are towering, and it is so clear that it seems to be within reach, which makes people awe. Such a scene is like a carefully drawn picture scroll, which makes people intoxicated and unwilling to wake up.
Driving slowly away from this fairyland, the classic song "Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter" by Leslie Cheung is playing in the car. The familiar melody and touching lyrics seem to add a bit of poetry and romance to this journey. "Ignite the ethereal life, I am so lucky", yes, I am so lucky to be able to see such beautiful scenery and have this unforgettable journey.
"It's some kind of fate, I'm so glad", yes, all this is due to fate. I am glad that I can come to this place, witness this blue lake and clear snow mountain with my own eyes, and feel the magic and magnificence of nature. This touch, this joy, made me trance for a while, as if I was in another world.
The inexplicable sadness quietly surged into my heart, and tears were spinning in my eyes. Maybe it's because this beauty is too short, or maybe it's because I'm about to leave this fairyland, my heart is full of reluctance and nostalgia. But in any case, I hope that every spring, summer, autumn and winter, whether it is amazing or ordinary, can make me full of love and expectation for life.
May every spring, summer, autumn and winter, I can meet the beauty in life. Whether it is the first ray of sunshine in the morning or the stars at night; whether it is the wild flowers and grass by the road or the mountains and rivers in the distance. Every encounter is a gift from life and a treasure worth cherishing. Let us embrace every spring, summer, autumn and winter with a grateful heart, and embrace every beautiful moment in life.
Roaming freely on the plateau, experiencing the wonders of nature, the 90th day of self-driving around China
2023 June 12, the 90th day of self-driving around China, from Shigatse in Tibet to Gangga Tushan Landscape to Gyirong Town in Tibet, covering a total distance of 590 kilometers. It was a tiring day of driving. In the early morning, the sunlight slanted through, and the scenery outside the car window looked like an oil painting. The road was winding and the scenery was ever-changing. Passed by Mount Everest, Gangga Town, Peiku Tso, and Gyirong Valley. This route, crossing seas of clouds and snow-capped mountains, bears witness to dreams and resilience.
Tushan's layers are stacked upon each other, resembling the wrinkles of the earth, recording the vicissitudes and changes of the years. Driving through them is like traveling through ancient and mysterious worlds. In the distance, the Himalayas stand tall, with snow-capped peaks. Passing by Mount Everest, the ticket was too expensive, so we chose to check in at the gate. The Guandi Temple in Gangga Mountain Town overlooks the Himalayan range. Four peaks over 8,000 meters high stand like gods between heaven and earth. This is not only a visual feast but also a purification of the soul.
Tibet is a magical place, every place, every lake, is a scenic spot. Especially the lakes on the Tibetan Plateau, each one is breathtakingly beautiful. Stepping into Peiku Tso, my eyes were washed by the blue in front of me. Gazing at Mount Shishapangma hidden in the clouds, I was intoxicated in this dreamy blue world. Even more magical is that the color of the lake's surface changes automatically with the weather. Peiku Tso is like a flowing poem, a living painting.
Gyirong Valley is a highlight of this part of the journey. Located below Mount Shishapangma and next to Peiku Tso, it is the westernmost of the five valleys in the Shigatse area. Inside Gyirong Valley, the natural scenery is enchanting, with both the majesty of high mountain snow peaks and the tranquility of river valley grasslands. The Kairong Waterfall along the way, with its spectacular sight of falling water, attracts countless tourists to stop and watch.
Gyirong Town, this small town at the southern foot of the Himalayas, is known as the 'Back Garden of the Himalayas.' Gyirong Town is at a relatively lower altitude with a pleasant climate, making it one of the ideal rest stops. The town's architecture has a Nepalese style, especially the famous Paba Temple, which gives a unique charm to the exotic culture.

⚠️Tips for this trip: The attractions here are relatively scattered. If you are visiting for the ☝🏻 first time, you can find a local and reliable small group. This can save time and worry. It is also fun for everyone to go together~key It’s a fun experience without stepping on any traps~
❌Don’t sign up for low-priced tours 🙅🏻♂️, because this kind of tour spends most of the time in shopping malls, which not only fails to save money 💰, but will make visiting the scenic spots hurried! ! !

Important Tips for Circumambulating Mount Kailash:
1. Although the average altitude of Mount Kailash is only about 3900 meters, to circumambulate it, you must conquer the Drolma La Pass at an altitude of 5630 meters. Therefore, those with severe altitude sickness should not attempt the circumambulation!
2. If you experience altitude sickness during the circumambulation, please stop immediately. Every year, some people become one with the sacred mountain due to altitude sickness!
3. Of course, altitude sickness is not insurmountable, but we urge everyone to act within their limits!
4. The best time to circumambulate Mount Kailash is from August to September each year. October is also possible, but it will be much colder. Climbing is not allowed after winter begins, as the mountain will be closed!
5. Moreover, in mid to late October each year, the ticket office and rescue vehicles of the Mount Kailash scenic area will withdraw from the area, and many supply points along the circumambulation route will also withdraw. So, do not be stubborn. If you encounter heavy snow and get lost during the circumambulation, especially near the Drolma La Pass, the chances of being rescued are very slim. We advise all tourists not to attempt the circumambulation during the mountain closure period!

Warm Tips
1⃣Altitude sickness: The average altitude in the Ali region is above 4500+, it is recommended for first-timers to Tibet to prepare oxygen bottles in advance and use them when feeling uncomfortable. It will not cause dependence, and Rhodiola is useless. It is best to have some glucose or candy in your mouth at all times.
⚠I had no altitude sickness throughout the journey, be careful not to jump around at high altitudes.
2⃣Food and lodging: Basically staying in county towns, clean hotels with electric blankets, private bathrooms, or floor heating, non-oxygenated rooms need to bring their own oxygen. Breakfast is mostly 20 yuan per person, lunch is Sichuan or Northeastern cuisine, not particularly delicious but filling.
⚠It is recommended to bring your own snacks to eat on the road, as meals may not be on time.
3⃣Restrooms: In the Ali region, due to limited conditions, many restrooms in the wilderness are dry toilets without water for washing hands.
⚠Those with a strong need for cleanliness may find it difficult to accept, be mentally prepared.
4⃣Attractions: Many attractions require tickets, but not necessarily for visiting various lakes on small paths; Everest Base Camp can stay at the foot of the mountain in a village at an altitude of 4200, which is more comfortable than tents on the mountain.
5⃣Other:
-The climate is very dry, prepare water, lip balm, and sunglasses for full-body physical sun protection.
-Traveling by car for 4-8 hours a day, prepare snacks and get enough sleep.
-Without Ali, there is no Tibet, although it is hard, it is very worthwhile. Pay attention to safety when self-driving, some dirt roads are not easy to travel, but overall the roads are very good. I wish everyone a happy time in Tibet! So far, it is my favorite scenic spot in China!!
Peiku Tso Lake overlooks the snow-capped mountains
Peiku Tso Lake is one of the largest lakes in the Shigatse region, and it is also the location of Mount Shishapangma, an 8000-meter peak within Tibet. It is situated at the border of Gyirong County and Nyalam County in the Shigatse region, covering an area of about 300 square kilometers, and is a semi-saline lake. The reflection of the snow-capped mountains and Mount Shishapangma in the water has become the eternal theme of Peiku Tso.

On the way, we pass through Tangla Mountain and continue towards Gyirong. We arrived at Peiku Lake at around 1 pm. After leaving Peiku Lake, we went to Gyirong. On the way to Gyirong Town, we saw the Kai Re waterfall. We originally planned to camp at Kai Re waterfall and Gyirong Nai Xia Village, but when we arrived, we found out that camping is not allowed in the village, so we stayed in the village for one night.
