It is a complex managed by the domestically and internationally popular Kuroryu Sake Brewery. There are two buildings, the Shuraku Building and the Garyu Building, and the Shuraku Building is a single-story building on stilts, built at a height overlooking the Kuzuryu River, with a stylish glass exterior. I visited the restaurant "acoya" in ESHIKOTO, where Fukui Prefecture and GODIVA are teaming up to hold a one-day evening party to celebrate the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen. Why Fukui Prefecture and GODIVA? I thought so, but when the president of GODIVA came to Japan for the first time, he visited Eiheiji Temple in Eiheiji Town, and it seems that the collaboration was realized through that connection 🫢 Chocolate made with buckwheat seeds from Fukui and chocolate made with habutae mochi, do they really go together...? Restaurant Apéro & Pâtisserie acoya I think it's difficult to eat even on weekdays unless you make a reservation. I couldn't eat, but the sake lees soft serve ice cream was rich and very delicious. Total site area is about 30,000 tsubo. The facility will be built on about 10,000 tsubo of that. In the future, they will expand the accommodation facilities with sauna facilities and glamping. Who among my family members understands? In order to go to Eiheiji Temple, we both put in a lot of effort and it took us two whole days to get there. Because of this, this trip seemed even more precious. As soon as we got off the bus the next day, we knew we would definitely fall in love with this Zen temple hidden in the winter mountains. Eiheiji Temple is located in Fukui Prefecture. It was built by Zen Master Dogen in 1244 after he returned from China after completing his studies in Soto Zen Buddhism, with the sole purpose of spreading Zen Buddhism. As an important temple of Japanese Zen Buddhism, it is not only a spiritual home for practitioners, but also a world cultural heritage. The entire temple is built along the mountainside, with Buddhist temples, Dharma halls, monk halls, etc. arranged in an orderly manner. The architectural style is simple and pure, blending perfectly with the surrounding natural environment without any sense of incongruity. The seven-hall monastery on the top of the mountain vividly displays the typical layout of a Zen temple. At Eiheiji, practice is part of everyday life. The monks meditate, chant scriptures, and work every day. Their lives are simple and plain, but they are full of self-discipline and diligence.
