Kaohsiung Zuoying Michelin Bib Gourmand Jiangsu-Zhejiang Cuisine

Tonight, I hosted a dinner for the chairman and his wife of an American health supplement company (Aivite) who returned to Kaohsiung from the United States. I brought along two friends, as having more people makes it easier to order a variety of dishes. The five of us made a reservation 10 days in advance and pre-ordered a roast duck (three ways). The environment is clean, tidy, and comfortable, with large round tables that are perfect for group dining, family gatherings, or company banquets. We ordered a table full of dishes. The roast duck (three ways) included duck wrapped in pancakes, duck bone soup with pickled vegetables and glass noodles, and minced duck. The duck skin was crispy, the meat tender, and the special sauce complemented it perfectly. The pancakes were chewy and delicious. 😋 Other dishes included braised lion's head meatballs, braised sea cucumber, cold mixed cabbage, salted egg yolk shrimp, scallion pancakes, stir-fried green beans with olive vegetables, and cold sesame noodles. The ingredients were fresh and of high quality, and the flavors were excellent. This restaurant truly lives up to its Michelin Bib Gourmand recommendation for Jiangsu and Zhejiang cuisine. Although the staff were older, their service was warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. This is a fantastic restaurant with great food, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
