Zigong Lantern Festival 🪩

Zigong Lantern World 🔍 📅 Open to the public from January 18, 2025, 17:00–23:30 (lights on at 18:00 every day, we recommend entering the park a little earlier, especially during the Lunar New Year, as it is said that there will be a lot of visitors) Adults: RMB 118/ticket, Zigong locals: RMB 98/ticket, Seniors or students: RMB 80/ticket 🕐 Duration: 3–4 hours (it may take longer if you want to explore every place in more detail) This year, there are two entrances: the West Gate and the North Gate. There are more visitors at the North Gate, but it is closer to several popular lantern groups. Transportation: There are five large parking lots at the lantern festival site. You can park in No. 1 or No. 2, and then walk to the site. There are shuttle buses from No. 3 to No. 5. Worth seeing: The most worthwhile lantern group to see this year is "The Two Beauties of Qingcheng," which features the White Snake and Xiaoqing, echoing the theme of the Year of the Snake. It is beautiful both before and after the lights are on. The eyes of the green snake and the white snake can move, and all the flowers on their heads can open and close! There are many lantern groups that fit the theme of the New Year, from "Abundant Harvest" at the entrance, to "New Year Baby" further inside, and "Abundance Year After Year," "Welcoming the God of Wealth," and more. Each lantern group is large and looks amazing up close. "Mirage 🏠" is the most beautiful lantern group in my mind, full of details. You can see many elements that appear in traditional culture, such as the 🐉 Azure Dragon, 🐅 White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, Black Tortoise, Kunpeng, Phoenix, and more. "Abundance Year After Year" is very interesting, with bubbles occasionally spouting from the mouths of the koi. "🦚 Peacock Screen" occupies an entire mountain, can you believe it? The peacock's wings change color, and it looks beautiful from both near and far. "Whimsical Ideas," "Wise Dinosaurs," "Punk Twins," and more are all very childlike, and the "Black Wukong" lantern group is even more interesting, so be sure to check it out!
