The high mountain cloud terrace fields, poetic and picturesque, are the essence of Nianshan

The Cloud Terrace Fields Scenic Area is located in Nianshan Village, Xingxi Township, about eleven kilometers from the county town. It boasts the most beautiful lines and the most spectacular terrace fields in East China. The terraces, like ribbons, wind up from the Qixing Stream at the foot of the mountain at an altitude of 300 meters to 1,100 meters above sea level, stacking up to more than a thousand layers. The terraces stretch for more than 1,500 meters, with a maximum vertical height of over 700 meters and a maximum longitudinal extension of over 800 meters. There are also characteristic attractions such as the glass suspension bridge, Longfu Temple, ancient tree forest, and camping base. Nianshan Terrace Fields, where no single hill makes a scene, but the connected beauty paints a picture. The scenic area is mainly divided into 'one heart, one belt, six zones,' namely the Tourist Comprehensive Service Center, the Water Drifting Belt, and six zones including the Terrace Fields Viewing & Photography Zone, the Waterfront Health & Holiday Zone, the Bamboo Forest Leisure & Entertainment Zone, the Agricultural Culture Exhibition Zone, the Ecological Agriculture Experience Zone, and the Ecological Conservation Zone. The main attractions include Nianshan Terrace Fields, Nianshan First Bend, Ancient Tree Forest, Longfu Temple, Huangchao Ping Ruins, Rentai Pavilion, Happy Farm, Nianshan Lake Cruise, Bamboo Corridor, Huangji Waterfall, and Agricultural Folk Museum. Nianshan First Bend: A naturally formed river bend, almost 360 degrees, is an astonishing display of nature's craftsmanship. It meanders and twists with clear water, making it a great place for leisure and water play. Rentai Pavilion: The words 'Rentai' come from the 'Book of Song,' meaning a bountiful harvest and peace throughout the world. Rentai Pavilion is currently the highest viewing platform in Nianshan. It has three floors, and from the top, one can take in the beautiful scenery of Nianshan. Nianshan Lake: The Nianshan Reservoir, excavated by the mountain, is hidden among the green bamboo and forests. Like a silver belt and green waves, the mountain breeze passes over the mirror-like reservoir, with sparkling waves and a smiling ripple, full of charm, intoxicating those who are immersed in it. Huangji Waterfall: 'Like a piece of plain silk, hanging in the autumn sky,' the Nianshan Huangji Waterfall is small and exquisite, peaceful and simple. Sitting on a wooden chair, resting and chatting, breathing the fresh air of the mountains, one can become intoxicated and linger on without thought of leaving. More than 1,600 acres of four thousand terraced fields stretch endlessly, winding and blending into the mountain mist, changing amidst the blue sky and white clouds, and are well worth a visit.
