Dashanbao in Zhaotong, Yunnan - Sitting and watching the clouds rise

Dashanbao is located in the west of Zhaotong City, 79 kilometers away from the urban area, with an altitude of 3100-3140 meters and an average annual temperature of 6.2℃. It is the wintering habitat of the black-necked crane, a national first-class protected animal. The best time to travel to Dashanbao is in autumn and winter, from early August to early October. The buckwheat flowers, oats, and fragrant grasslands on the mountain are in blocks and layers, colorful, turning the desolate Dashanbao into a dreamy world like a paradise. At the Tiaodun River Reservoir and Dahaizi Reservoir in Dashanbao, you can see flocks of black-necked cranes foraging and resting by the lake.
