The Sunnegga – 5-Seenweg Trail is a trekking course starting from Zermatt, Switzerland, offering the most stunning views of the Matterhorn 🏔️ Starting at the Sunnegga viewpoint, the trail takes you through five lakes: Stellisee → Grindjisee → Grünsee → Moosjisee → Leisee. Walking along this path feels as if the Matterhorn is following you, with breathtaking scenery all around 🌿 The total distance is about 9km, taking approximately 2–3 hours. It's not too strenuous and allows you to fully experience the charm of the Swiss Alps 💕 🤍 Introduction to the 5 Lakes & Photo Spots 📸 1️⃣ Stellisee (Lake Stellisee, 6) The most famous lake! 🌅 This is the spot where the Matterhorn is perfectly reflected on the calm water, attracting photographers who arrive early in the morning. The orange hues spreading across the lake at sunrise are truly a masterpiece ✨ 2️⃣ Grindjisee (Lake Grindjisee, 5) A small lake hidden amidst dense forest 🌲. It's a great spot to capture the Matterhorn with wildflowers blooming by the lake. Although the reflection angle is lower, the silhouette of the mountain peeking through the trees is incredibly romantic 🌸 3️⃣ Grünsee (Lake Grünsee, 4) A lake with a greenish hue, as its name suggests 💚. The area around the lake is perfect for a trekking break. Sitting on a small rock, enjoying a sandwich while gazing at the Matterhorn, was truly peaceful 🍞☕ 4️⃣ Moosjisee (Lake Moosjisee, 3) A turquoise lake sparkling thanks to glacial water 💎. The vivid water color is so striking it feels surreal. Located slightly lower, the Matterhorn appears at an angle above the lake, creating a stunning contrast 📷 5️⃣ Leisee (Lake Leisee, 1-2) The final point near the Sunnegga viewpoint 🏞️. Popular with families, it's the perfect spot to capture a 'last shot' of the Matterhorn reflected in the water. A serene place to wrap up your trek 🌤️ Throughout the trek, the Matterhorn revealed a different face from every angle 🏔️. Sometimes like a mirror on the lake, other times as a dazzling snow-capped peak. The air was fresh, and only the sounds of the wind and birds accompanied the walk, making it a truly healing experience 🍃. This day in Switzerland will remain unforgettable 💛.
