However, upon arrival, you are greeted with a breathtaking view that makes it all worthwhile. Right before your eyes, the massive triangular peak of the Matterhorn rises sharply into the sky, while below, the quiet Zermatt village with its wooden rooftops stretches out serenely. 🌿 The changing scenery created by clouds and sunlight The scenery here changes constantly. In the morning, the mountain's outline is clear in the crisp air, with sunlight gently wrapping around the peak. In the afternoon, clouds slowly drift in and cling to the cliffs of the Matterhorn, and in the evening, the mountain glows red with the phenomenon known as 'Alpenglow.' It felt as if the mountain was alive and breathing, and its grandeur left viewers in awe. 🏔️ A landscape where the village and mountain become one Looking down from the viewpoint, the entire village unfolds below, with the sparkling Vispa River winding through it. The view of the church spire in the central street framed together with the Matterhorn is Zermatt's iconic 'postcard scenery.' Head towards Wiestistrasse, and you'll find the viewpoint at the end of the road. 2️⃣ Recommended time – The Matterhorn is clearest between 8-9 AM, and the mountain is bathed in red hues during the late afternoon. 3️⃣ Caution – The path can be slightly slippery, so wear comfortable sneakers.
