🇯🇵 [Kagawa Prefecture] Mandala Temple, 72nd Temple of the 88 Shikoku Pilgrimage Mandala Temple, the 72nd temple of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, is an old temple that was the clan temple of the Saeki clan, ancestors of Kobo Daishi. It is said that in 807, Kukai enshrined a mandala, worshiped Dainichi Nyorai, and prepared the temple. In the temple grounds, there is also a "Daytime Rest Stone" where Saigyo Hoshi is said to have taken a nap when he visited the temple in 1168. It is said that there is no end to the number of people who worship the statue of Kasamatsu Daishi, carved from the trunk of a dead pine tree in 2002, and reminisce about Kasamatsu in the past (^^)
