A surprising encounter with an ancient street on a trip to Xuchang, Henan!

Xuchang's PANGDONGLAI is hot, and the Shenhou Ancient Town in Xuchang is hidden deep, but I want to say, it's really beautiful! Shenhou Ancient Town is located in the southwest of Yuzhou City, Henan Province, the capital of Jun porcelain in China, situated in the foothills of the Funiu Mountains, with beautiful mountains and rivers. Shenhou prospered because of Jun porcelain. As early as the Tang Dynasty, Shenhou had already produced colorful flower porcelain and Jun porcelain. By the time of Emperor Huizong of the Northern Song Dynasty, the production of Jun porcelain reached its peak and was designated as 'Imperial Court Precious Ware'. During the Song Dynasty, the government set up official kilns near Juntai in Yangdi (now Yuzhou City area) to produce tribute porcelain for the court, marking the transition of Jun porcelain production from private to official kilns, ranking first among China's five famous porcelains. Shenhou Ancient Town was founded in the Song Dynasty and rebuilt in the eighth year of the Hongzhi reign of the Ming Dynasty. There is a poetic reputation from ancient times: 'Entering Shenhou Mountain, one can view the seven-mile-long street. Seventy-two kilns, with smoke and fire covering the edge of the sky. Merchants travel everywhere, making a fortune every day.' Shenhou Ancient Town has been successively named 'Capital of Jun Porcelain in China' and 'Famous Historical and Cultural Town in China'. There are many famous historical and cultural sites within its territory, and the mountains and rivers are beautiful. We visited Shenhou off-peak, perfectly avoiding the crowd. The ancient street is not very long, but the architecture is exquisitely beautiful, with some especially finely carved door lintels, beams, and windows, which are very worth visiting. Staying overnight on Shenhou Ancient Street was a great experience, with a wonderful environment. When we left, the guesthouse even gave us two Jun porcelain teacups as souvenirs.
