A small place of beauty - Dahongzhai in Yuzhou

Dahongzhai, a scenic spot not too far from Zhengzhou, is not very famous. I've almost been to all the scenic areas around Zhengzhou twice, so after some digging, I found this place that I hadn't visited yet. On a whim, we decided to drive there Some parts of this scenic area are man-made, such as the so-called 'Colorful Pools' which upon closer inspection, you can tell have artificially painted edges. The water doesn't seem abundant and is not very clean, probably due to the lack of rain in the off-season. The area is not very large; you can basically walk around and play for about 3-4 hours. The slide is pretty good, but sliding down to the bottom, some of the attractions seem a bit perfunctory, like the rainbow slide which is quite short, and the zip line as well. So, the kids were quite interested at first, but then gave up when they saw how short it was. However, it's nice that the area isn't crowded, and you don't need to take a shuttle to walk around, which isn't too tiring. Oh, and at the foot of the mountain, there's a very famous temple worth checking out It's nice to go out when it's not crowded, away from the hustle and bustle, just to breathe some fresh air. The environment at the foot of the mountain here is quite nice, with many flowers planted along the trails and lots of big butterflies
