The wonder of Fangguang Rock lies in the 'cavern under a tile' - its facade has an elevation angle of over 180 meters, about a hundred meters wide, and more than 50 meters deep. 📍 Location & Transportation: Navigate to Yongtai Fangguang Rock, about 40 minutes' drive from Fuzhou city center. 🎫 Tickets: Ticket information: Admission is 25 RMB per person, vegetarian noodles in the temple cost 30 RMB per bowl, and tea service is 50 RMB per table. 🚗 Transportation: It is recommended to drive or take a taxi. It takes about 1 hour from Fuzhou, and a one-way taxi ride costs about 100 RMB. Public transportation is inconvenient due to transfers and is not recommended. ⛰️ Hiking Time: 30 - 50 minutes, with a relatively low difficulty level. The whole path consists of stone steps, with no wild trails, and is shaded by trees throughout. You can rest at the top of the mountain, where you can make tea or taste the special vegetarian noodles. 📖 About the history and culture of Fangguang Rock: The hanging temple of Fangguang Rock was first built in the second year of Jianlong of the Northern Song Dynasty (AD 961), and has a history of over a thousand years. The temple is built against a cave and ingeniously integrated with the natural landscape, fully demonstrating the wisdom and aesthetics of ancient Chinese architects. 📌Tips: The whole journey to Fangguang Temple is the most worthwhile sight. You will see towering cliffs like gates, waterfalls descending from the sky, and behind the water curtain, there is a huge cave on the high cliff, with a piece of rock stretching out like a tile covering the top of the cave, making Fangguang appear dome-like. Therefore, be sure to visit on a day with plentiful rain, otherwise, you will miss the sight of the waterfall in front of the cave, which would be a great pity.
