Yongtai Tong'an Town One-Day Tour Guide

Tongan Town, Yongtai County has two ancient villages from the Qing Dynasty, as well as a Sanyang Phoenix Temple and Shengjun Rock. This is my second time in Tongan Town. I have been to Renhe Village and Aijing Village before. There are detailed introductions on my previous homepage. This time I will focus on the Phoenix Temple and Shengjun Rock. 1. Phoenix Temple: Phoenix Temple faces south and covers an area of ​​more than 3,000 square meters. The center of the temple is the Main Hall. On the east side are the Hall of the Guardians, the Flame Wisdom Land, and the Sutra Reading Style with reduced columns and wooden structures. The main hall is the Buddhist building, and on the west side are the Patriarch Hall, the Guanyin Hall, and the Sutra Chanting Hall. There is a skylight between the east and west wing rooms and the Main Hall. The Main Hall enshrines Sakyamuni Buddha, Medicine Buddha and Amitabha Buddha, and the Bodhisattvas Manjusri and Samantabhadra, Skanda, the Guardians and the Eighteen Arhats. On the east side are the Hall of the Guardians, the Flame of Wisdom, and the Sutra Reading Tower; on the west side are the Hall of the White (Dharma, Lu Gong) Patriarch, the Guanyin Pavilion, and the Sutra Chanting Hall. There is a patio between the east and west wing rooms and the main hall. The temple gate is located in the southeast direction. From the gate to the lower courtyard, one has to climb five steps, but looking down from the corridor of the main hall, it seems that there are only three steps. It is said that this was the masterpiece of a stonemason named Xue during the reconstruction. Shengjun Rock: Shengjun Rock is located at the foot of Fenghuang Temple in Yangtou Village, Tong'an Town, Yongtai County, about 530 meters down the stairs. It became famous because Zhang Shengjun practiced here. Zhang Shengjun, a native of Yuezhou Village, Fakou Town, Yongtai County (Yongfu County), Fujian Province, is included in the "Dictionary of Chinese Names". It is said that when Zhang Shengjun was a teenager, he went to Xiangqiqing Hot Spring to pay a visit to Cailan Gong and was attracted by the spectacular monkey explosion in the first pool of the eight meals. He also went upstream and saw two overlapping Shuidi Caves, which were magical and quiet, so he practiced Yanyue here. One day, a young boy who was eager to explore the world shouted at the floating waterfall: East, West. West and east. At the beginning, Zhang Shengjun would shout as he followed the direction of the waterfall being blown by the wind, and later he would go against the trend. Over time, no matter when he shouted "east, west" or "west, east", the waterfall would float to the east and west or west and east following his shouts, as if it had become a habit. This phenomenon has been passed down to this day. Now, if you stand in the cave and shout "east, west", the waterfall will flow to the east and west as you shout. Therefore, the waterfall here is called the Shouting Pond.
