The Bingling Temple

#chinatrip The Bingling Temple is a series of grottoes filled with Buddhist sculpture carved into natural caves and caverns in a canyon along the Yellow River. It lies just north of where the Yellow River empties into the Liujiaxia Reservoir. It is a great display of culture migration and appreciation in older times. Very old artifacts of Buddhism embeded in nice mountain caves. Huge sitting and large lying Buddha. You have to go there from Lanzhou via bus and finaly on the yellow river by boat. Takes about 2.5 hours each way but worth to see.
