Yongchun-Baizhang Rock

Baizhangyan is located at the southern end of the Baihe Mountain Range in Penghu Town, Yongchun County, Fujian Province. The mountain is called Made Mountain, and the temple on the top is commonly known as Ma's or Ma Temple. Because it has a single peak and a colorful boulder in front of the temple, which looks like a candle pointing to the sky, it is also called Baizhang Rock. It is said to be the place where the fairy Ma practiced Taoism and passed away. The temple was first built in the Song Dynasty and is dedicated to a woman named Ma, commonly known as the Fairy Ma. Baizhangyan Scenic Area is named after its steep mountains and cliffs that are hundreds of feet high. Baizhangyan, also known as Ma's Temple, is 10 kilometers away from Penghu Town. Ma's Temple is located on the top of Guanshan Mountain at an altitude of 892 meters, and the mountain is steep. The temple, supported by the rushing mountains, blends into the blue sky and white clouds, which is breathtaking. Looking down from here, the mountains stretch out endlessly downwards, giving you a sense of being in heaven. If you choose to come here in a season with clear skies and crisp air, you can even see the county town far away across the mountains. Here, you can feel the majestic peaks of Dapeng, Tianma, Dalü and Snow Mountain, which is refreshing.
