Back to Xiamen by Saturday night —————————————————— 🗓️DAY1 September 12 🚄Xiamen → Wugong Mountain 15:54 Depart from Xiamen North ➡️ Transfer at Nanchang West ➡️ 22:17 Arrive at Pingxiang North (Suggest working people depart Friday night! More options if you leave Saturday~) 🏨Accommodation: Vienna International Hotel (Pingxiang Administrative Center Branch) 📍Address: Anyuan District, Pingxiang City 💰Price: 300+ 👉Tips: There are many hotels in Pingxiang city, just pick one with good cost performance! —————————————————— 🗓️DAY2 September 13 🚗6:00 Depart from hotel ▶️Wugong Mountain Visitor Center (60 min drive) 💰Charter car 120, carpool 30/person (ps: The driver you hired the day before agreed to pick you up and drop you off, super convenient!) 🛅Luggage storage: Can store at convenience stores by the roadside near the visitor center 💰20 unlimited time (we had a lot of stuff and it was totally manageable) ⚠️Attention!! Encountered road closures due to Wugong Mountain hiking and trail running race Actually started hiking at 8:00 (original plan was 7:00) 🎫Tickets: Buy in advance on Dianping! 70 yuan/person (Fujian free tickets are not for this entrance~ I don’t know which entrance exactly either 😅) 🚌Free shuttle bus: Go straight after storing luggage! 10 min to Shigu Temple (Cable car station & hiking start point) ⛰️Start climbing!! ☝️Uphill route: Shigu Temple → Monkey Valley (60 min) → Diaomazhuang (70 min) → Golden Summit (50 min) ⏱️Total time: 3h6min (Guides say it takes 5-6 hours, we brought a primary school kid and basically crushed it!!) 👇Downhill route: Golden Summit → Golden Summit Cable Car (25 yuan) → Zhong’an Cable Car (50 yuan) → Shigu Temple 🚡Recommend taking both cable cars! The scenery is stunning and it’s not tiring~ 🏁Return trip: 16:05 Pingxiang North → Xiamen North 22:09 (After descending, someone asked if we wanted a charter car, still 120/car) —————————————————— 💡Useful Tips: 1️⃣There are plenty of supply stations on the mountain! No need to carry too much water 2️⃣Buying cable car tickets by scanning QR code is super convenient 3️⃣September has fewer people and beautiful scenery! Off-peak travel is always the best ✨Say it a billion times: Wugong Mountain is truly stunning!! Absolutely worth the ticket price! More unforgettable than Huangshan and Huashan~ Highly recommend!!
