Shuimo Hongcun: A Living Chinese Ink Painting

#discoverchina This is my first time visiting Shuimo Hongcun, an ancient Huizhou-style village with a history of over a thousand years, known as a village in a Chinese painting.The well-preserved ancient residences from the Ming and Qing dynasties feature white walls, black tiles, horse-head walls, and small bridges over flowing water. Together with the surrounding green mountains and clear waters, they create a picturesque scene, just like a natural ink painting, which is why it is called Shuimo Hongcun.
