Traditional Chinese Village - Shiting Village.

Shiting Village, Biyang Town, Yi County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, the second batch of traditional Chinese villages. Shiting Village is divided into two parts by Hengshan Mountain, the outside of the mountain is mostly plain, commonly known as "Shiting", and the inside of the mountain is full of mountains, commonly known as "Jianxi". The village has a total of thirteen villagers groups. To explore the origin of "Shiting", one said that there was a stone pavilion in the west of the village a long time ago, and the village was named after the pavilion. One said that it was not a stone pavilion, but a "Tongshan Pavilion". The Republic of China's "Yi County Four Chronicles" records: "Outside the north city, there are Xitian, Heshan, Shiping, Songling and other villages entering the city. There is a brick and tile kiln in front, because digging soil and mud hurts the earth veins and blocks the waterway. After the villagers of each village asked for a ban on the stele, the villagers built a pavilion for passers-by to rest and shelter from the wind and rain." Also because there are Songling and Heshan, take one word from each village, named "Songhe Pavilion". In the dialect of Yi County, "Songhe" and "Shi" are suspected of being homophonic. After a long time, the name is also smooth, and naturally "Songhe Pavilion" becomes "Shiting".
