The scenery at Beijing's Green Spot is so beautiful

It's only a 2-hour drive from Beijing, and I thought I had arrived in Guilin. The wind is bleak and the Yi River is cold; every time I read this poem, I always feel a sense of tragic grandeur. But when I actually got to the banks of the Yi River, I found that it had shed its historical hues and had become beautiful and gentle instead. Visiting Yi River Lake in the summer is truly a heavenly delight. The lake ripples, the mountains and waters are affectionate, the sky is high with scattered clouds, and the breeze is fresh and the air clear, truly giving one the impression of being in Guilin. It is said that Guilin's landscape is unmatched, but in my eyes, this scenery is every bit as exquisite as Guilin's. The place is about two hours away from Beijing, not too far, making it very suitable for a self-drive day trip.
