Slender West Lake, Yangzhou

We arrived at the east gate of Slender West Lake in Yangzhou around 2 p.m. There were still parking spaces available in the parking lot. A short walk to the left after entering the east gate leads to a food street. Further inside is the Five-Pavilion Bridge. If you don't want to walk, you can take the sightseeing bus to enjoy the scenery along the way. We chose to walk to the north gate first and visited the Bonsai Museum. There are many bonsai exhibits outdoors and exquisite flower arrangements indoors. Then we went to the City Gate Ruins, then to the Twenty-Four Bridge, and finally to the Five-Pavilion Bridge before returning to the east gate. The whole journey was quite a workout. If you want to enjoy yourself, you can go in the morning and spend a day strolling around. Or you can go to see a performance in the evening, which should be a different experience.
