Traditional Rakhine Food while strolling around Kandawgyi 🦐

#favouriteitinerary Kandawgyi is a popular park in Myanmar with all sorts of attractions. Kandawgyi itself is the name of the lake that the whole park surrounds. Undoubtedly, this is where you’ll find people of all ages and classes of Myanmar ~ There are people doing morning walks, filming tiktok videos, etc. You can easily get there by ride hailing (taxi fees in Yangon average around ~$4), the only public transport Yangon has is their bus and it might be too difficult for tourists. There are several entrances so do your research before visiting to be dropped off at the most suitable location ~ There’s also this Karaweik castle that’s the most popular part of Kandawgyi which I’ll post about soon ~ It’s a must visit in Yangon. P.S. The photo of the food is at Min Lan (a popular rakhine food restaurant). They have a great selection of seafood too. This is one of the best places to dine while overlooking the lake at night.
