Runcheng Dongyue Temple is not far from Dibo City, hidden in the old street in the center of Runcheng Town. There are too many Dong Yue Temples in Shanxi, and this one seems to be very low-key, but in fact it is a landmark building in Runcheng, and it still has an original structure from the Jin Dynasty. Sanmen Street near Dili City is very charming, and it is a legacy from the old times, full of human touch. Dongyue Temple faces Sanmen Street. When we went there, the gate was open and we went straight in. Although it is not large and there are not many people, it gives me a spacious and warm feeling. Perhaps the Emperor Dongyue here likes this residence very much. Runcheng Dongyue Temple was first built during the Dading period of the Jin Dynasty. However, except for the Daqi Hall, which is an original structure from the Jin Dynasty, most of the existing buildings are from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The architectural layout of the Daqi Hall is consistent with the Jin Dynasty relics seen before, but the details are very eye-catching, especially the parts that were renovated in the Ming Dynasty. From a distance, you will be attracted by its glazed roof. Although not as large as the one in Jiexiu, Yangcheng was a famous colored glaze production area in the old days. When the Daqi Hall was restored in the Ming Dynasty, more exquisite and colorful colored glaze components were used to increase the charm of the Daqi Hall. What I like most are its colored glaze wind-blown and suspended fish, which are grand and vivid, and the four-clawed dragon seems to be about to jump out of the roof and fly away at any time. The little man on the roof steps on the glazed tiles, as if he is showing off his majesty to intimidate those coming from below. It is funny and cute. As you walk into the Xianting, you can't miss its caisson as long as you look up. The octagonal caisson is made up of two layers of cantilevered brackets. In the middle, flame-shaped wooden strips are used to create exquisite patterns. There are lotus hammers and elephant-shaped eaves around it for decoration. Although there are no heavy paintings, it just highlights the ingenuity of the pure wooden structure. The three unique features of the Daqi Hall are the glazed caisson and the stone carvings. The auspicious beasts on the stone railings are lifelike, and the Yunlong Imperial Road is full of domineering power. It is said that the five statues of gods in the Daqi Hall are worth seeing. Unfortunately, the hall was not open when I went there. Fortunately, there are many delicious foods on Sanmen Street. [Grin]
