Xilin Gol, the fairy-tale grassland in my memory

When the summer breeze sweeps across the Xilin Gol grassland, the soft clouds sketch its shape against the sky, a place blessed by nature, encountered through a Mongolian horse super league. The Xilin Gol themed event for China Tourism Day on May 19th and the 2024 Mongolian Horse Super League kick-off ceremony officially commenced in this early summer. The melodious sound of the horse-head fiddle echoes across the grassland, and the galloping steeds race by, with exciting song and dance shows, thrilling horseback archery, obstacle jumping, picking up Hada, and other high-difficulty equestrian performances, each act earning enthusiastic applause. In addition to these, there is the indispensable Bökh wrestling, and the archery competition that tests reaction and eyesight. There are also various specialty foods on-site, satisfying both your visual and taste senses. Beyond these exhilarating competitions, there is also the Beizi Temple, one of the four major temples in Inner Mongolia, with its solemn temples, red walls, and swaying wind chimes, each telling the stories of its past. Do not miss the beautiful Nine Bend River. A beautiful gift from millions of years ago, the Pingdingshan should also not be missed. These natural wonders formed by volcanic eruptions millions of years ago, with flat mountain tops as if cut by a knife, arranged in an orderly fashion, are both tranquil and spectacular. If you are driving, do not miss the fairy-tale Liulangou, with lush green grass on both sides of the road, white clouds, and rotating windmills coming into view, I think, the fairy-tale grassland in memory is just like this.
