Xiamen Airlines Business Class: Narita to Xi'an

On April 26 and 27, 2025, I traveled from Tokyo Narita to Xi'an using Xiamen Airlines' business class 🧳. The journey was surprisingly smooth and comfortable, including a hotel stay during the transit, making it a highly satisfying flight experience 💙. 🛩 First Leg: Narita → Xiamen (MF816 / B787-9 "United Dream") The flight from Narita featured Xiamen Airlines' signature aircraft, the B787-9 "United Dream" ✨. The seats were fully flat, and the cabin was clean and comfortable. For the in-flight meal, I chose "stir-fried rice noodles," which had a light flavor and was delicious 😋. 🛋 Narita Airport Lounge Before departure, I used the Premier Lounge. While the environment was decent, the food and drinks were quite average 🍷🍪. It served well as a quiet waiting area. 🏨 Transit in Xiamen (1-night stay included) Business class passengers were provided accommodation at the Jinyan Hotel. The spacious rooms, airport transfers, and smooth check-in process were impressive 🚗. In the evening, I strolled around the Siming Road area, enjoying the local atmosphere briefly 🌆. 🍱 Breakfast on the Next Morning (In-flight) For the second leg of the flight (MF8217 Xiamen → Xi'an), I opted for the spare ribs and abalone lunch set. It was truly delicious, with perfectly balanced flavors 🐖✨. 🌿 Morning Walk Before Departure After breakfast, I took a light stroll around **Yundang Lake**, located behind the hotel. The air was fresh, and the morning light reflecting on the lake was delightful 🌞. 🛬 Second Leg: Xiamen → Xi'an (B737-800) The final flight was on a slightly older B738. Unfortunately, the seat monitor's audio couldn't be turned off, which was a bit noisy 💦. However, the flight itself was stable, and I arrived without any issues. ✅ Overall Summary Xiamen Airlines' business class offers an excellent balance of service, price, and comfort! The transit hotel was high-quality, and I could enjoy the journey even during the layover ✈️. It's now one of the airlines I'd love to use again 🫶.
