My favorite hotel on Gulangyu Island, Xiamen

We decided to stay on Gulangyu Island for a night over the weekend. After doing a lot of research and comparing many hotels, we finally decided to book No. 36 Huangyan Hotel. We didn't expect the stay to be so amazing. The environment, facilities, service, and food were all perfect. We loved it! We originally planned to stay for one night, but we liked it so much that we extended our stay for another three days. First, the environment: The decor is very stylish! The hotel has been beautifully decorated while retaining its original appearance and history. It has a private courtyard and a South Asian style that I really like. The atmosphere is great! It's artistic, romantic, and poetic, and the photos look amazing! The hotel opened recently, so it's very clean. Service: The one-on-one butler service, private transfer, and ferry ticket booking service are great advantages. After we booked, our butler Ella asked us when we would arrive on the island and helped us book ferry tickets and arrange a private transfer. On the day, Ella was waiting for us at the cruise terminal to help us with our luggage and take the ferry to the island. She also explained a lot about the island and carefully introduced us to many nearby attractions and the facilities in our room. During our stay, she thoughtfully arranged meals and prepared desserts for us. Ella also enthusiastically recommended local food, attractions, and shopping places, and gave us a delicious afternoon tea. The thoughtful service made us feel very warm. Even when we left the hotel, she enthusiastically helped us with our luggage and took us to our destination. I have to say, this hotel has the best service I've ever seen. We had a very comfortable and pleasant travel experience. Food: The hotel offers three types of breakfast: Chinese, South Asian, and Western. The Chinese breakfast is a nine-grid breakfast with a lot of variety. The hotel room also includes a South Asian set meal, which is very filling and delicious. The food is of a high standard.
