I was recommended to make a trip to the botanical garden when I was visiting Xiamen for the first time and I absolutely loved it. I spent a few hours walking around and could not cover everything. Beautiful flowers and palm trees. You can actually get some good exercise climbing to the top of the mountain but there are also the option to take the shuttle bus.
