Wuyishan | At Buzhichunzhai, soaking your days in tea~ Arriving in Wuyishan, I stayed at the poetically named "Buzhichunzhai" 🏠. Unlike other homestays that rush you out to see the sights, here you willingly want to "waste" time. The homestay faces Chongyang Creek, and opening the window reveals a flowing landscape painting. Ink-colored mountains shrouded in mist resemble brewed tea, layered and spreading softly. During the day, I went nowhere, just stared at the mountains and water from the room. Reading, sipping tea, doing nothing. Or I went downstairs to the tea room, where the host had already prepared this year's Zhengyan tea. No need to understand tea, just drink. From the floral-scented cinnamon to the mellow, rice-like narcissus, a pot of tea can while away an entire afternoon. At dusk, when the heat dissipates, I finally step outside. Not rushing to attractions, just wandering aimlessly along the creek. Watching bamboo rafts drift by, the boatmen’s mountain songs blending with the water sound are more moving than any music. The sunset here is different from the city’s; it’s crisp, carrying the scent of tea mountain plants. Many people just sit on the stones by the shore, doing nothing, simply waiting for nightfall. In Wuyishan, I seem to have understood the true meaning of "laziness." It’s not idleness, but a peaceful order. It’s knowing the best scenery is right before your eyes, no need to rush; it’s realizing the best enjoyment is this cup of tea and the calm of this moment. So, what exactly does Wuyishan have? Tea, mountains, water, and a stretch of days that make you forget how time flows. Only by coming and staying will you know.
