A three-hour trip to Wuhu during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday

During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, traveling from Hefei to Nanjing, I didn't choose the direct high-speed train but decided to take a slight detour to check in one more city. I had long heard of the popular meme 'Wuhu taking off', so I took this opportunity to make a visit. Right after getting off the train, I planned to visit the recently famous Wuhu Ancient Town. I thought it was a subway, but it turned out to be a light rail train when I boarded. The train was small, but the view was quite good; from above, I could see the whole streetscape of Wuhu clearly. The ancient town is quite new, and while it's somewhat disappointing if you're expecting to see ancient relics, it feels much more impressive if you think of it as a creative park. Each street is uniquely designed, and the City God Temple inside does a great job of introducing and popularizing related history. The best view is from the newly built city tower; if you're not too tired, climbing it will give you a panoramic view of the old streets of the ancient town. Taking the tram, you can check in at the central park above, where the landmark building is also clearly visible. The next stop is Wuhu's riverside view. After waiting for a while for the bus, it took about half an hour to reach Binjiang. Since it's already summer, various snacks are laid out outside, allowing you to eat while enjoying the riverside view. The most famous spot in Binjiang is definitely the old customs house, which is the specific reason for visiting the riverside. Its unique structure makes for very good photos. However, the interior is still under maintenance, and many areas are fenced off, which is a bit disappointing. The exquisite riverside theater is also nice; you can see the bridge and the Yangtze River flowing by. If you're not in a hurry, you could wait for the sunset by the river. However, since I had to rush to Nanjing, waiting for the sunset was not an option. It was just a quick three-hour visit, but Wuhu still left a good impression.
