With only evenings free, I visited Wuhu Ancient City, established as early as 109 BC, boasting over two thousand years of history. Inside, historic districts like Nanzheng Street and Rulin Street showcase Huizhou-style residences, exuding an ancient and unique charm. The ancient city preserves the architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties, with some streets and alleys retaining their original appearance. As night falls, the flower lanterns adorning the long streets illuminate, creating a scene reminiscent of Wuhu's prosperous past.
